Broken crop bug

Post » Sun Jan 10, 2016 9:00 pm

A few of my crops are broken I enter workbench mode and repair it
It takes my tato to repair it but it doesn't repair it (it dose remove the tato from my inventory)
I am on PS4 so no console commands
Anyone know a fix?

Perhaps you could try removing the broken plant all together and replanting it (which I kind of think is what your doing when you fix anyway)?? I too play on Playstation but have not hit this bug yet thankfully so I am just guessing at what may help.

Bugs on your Tatos? Did you try insecticide?

Seroiusly though sometimes you have to have a settler assigned to the Tato before a repair will work.

Perhaps the Tato is unassigned because the settlers are already tending a full quota of crops.

6 crop units per settler.

I've seen this, but they're usually repaired if I go away and come back.

I had this happen in Abernathy Farm. About have the Tato plants looked dead and I couldn't select them either in or out of crafting mode. Couldn't assign anyone to them for the same reason, I couldn't select them. I couldn't remove them to plant more crops for the same reason, I couldn't select them. Very frustrating as half the Tato field is just dead plants that I can't move or do anything with.

Yeah, I had that issue...

Fortunately, I play the PC version so I just clicked on them to get the ID, then type in "markfordelete". However, that doesn't help people who are playing the game on consoles.

I had the same thing happen at Abernathy's. Unfortunately the only resolution I could find was removing it thru console command by clicking on each plant and typing in disable. I believe the console players are kinda of screwed with this bug.

try assigning all your farmers to other jobs. fast travel out and back. then re-assign.

I think "markfordelete" is better since it removes the object from the game whereas "disable" the object still exists in the game, but it is simply not rendered.

I'm on PC. I may have to try that if they don't fix themselves on their own. I know if raiders destroy stuff during a raid that settlers will eventually fix the items (water pumps, turrets, etc.) on their own so maybe that will happen here. I'll give them a little time and check back.

I have exactly the same issue. Only at Abernathy Farm, and only with the tatos.

but you can remove them and put them in your workbench. That's what he was referring to.
