I have bought the house in Windhelm and have been putting things in the display cases, usually items I like but will rarely use. I put a dagger in one of the cases in the bedroom and was unable to retrieve it. I figured that if I left and returned that may sort it so I tried that and then accidentally put a second dagger in on top of the first and am unable to retrieve either now??

When I open the case I just get the "Activate" message and if I have nothing equipped then nothing happens and I am unable to get either dagger out. Other cases seem to work normally.

I have tried slowly moving the cross hairs over the entire case but nothing.

I play on Xbox and probably have 20+ hours in since I first put the dagger in (I think it was the one that I got as a quest reward that was somebodys "lucky dagger".

Any ideas ?? If they both end up having to remain there then it's no biggie but it would be nice to be able to get them out now and then.

The display case in Hjerim? It ate my Mehrunes' Razor..

Ah ...... so it seems the responsibility lies with the naughty display case .... hope you didn't get t too cut up about it ..... like I said its just a couple of daggers for me, no biggie
