Broken Karma? : Fallout: New Vegas

I think it is because killing 20 fiends(who arent evil there just unfortunate they have no malicious intent there just F'd up on psyco) will take you from devil to messiah but eating 50 people wont take you from messiah down to true mortal and killing slaveing evil, rapist, crussifeliats gives no karma loss and killing fiends and powder gangers in self defence gives negative karma WTF and no evil companions Serriously cant they just PLEASE FIX THIS

fiends are evil. they will just randomly attack anyone who walks by them, not to mention they wiped out the entire Vault 3? sick [censored]s, all of them. just do the world and me a favor by putting those bastards out of existence. :gun:

Fiends aren't evil? They kill people for kicks. Just because they are on drugs doesn't mean their evil acts are negated.

Karma isn't even that important, so I don't get why people care about it. What matters is reputation system. If Karma changed you're reputation like it does in Fallout 2 then it would matter. If it even effected how people saw you then it would matter.

But killing them can be self defence whereas you have to piss the Legion off and as I mentiond earlier they're evil, rapist, crussifeliats yet no karma loss for killing Legion WTF and canabalisim barely moves you down whereas 20 fiends jump out at you and out of self defence you put em down all the sudden you're the last best hope of humanity I find myself letting my companions take care of them

The Legion are killing for a cause. Does it make it right? Can't really say but their is a reason they do it. The Legion themselves killed the people of Nipton who they themselves were "evil" people.

Fiends are killing because they want to, because it's fun for them. Their is no logical reason at all for why they do the evil things they do.

first of all I diddent see any kiddie fiends in vault 3 and seccond of all what if its just in self defence third of all what about the legion are you actualy defending the games karma system.

You get good karma for killing them, no matter what, because you are removing an evil person from the universe. Karma is based you're actions. It doesn't care if you you're self are evil. If you do something good you get some good karma.

Also their were vault dwellers in Vault 3. Fiends killed them all. There arn't that many kids in New Vegas, because Bethesda is against harming them. Fallout 3 being full of annoying immortal kids pissed people off, so to stop people from being pissed off. Obsidian put far less kids in the game.

where the hell did you get kiddie fiends from? i was saying the fiends killed the inhabitants of vault 3, which most likely means women and children were inside.

They crussify those that break the laws. Those that broke the law need to be punished. The Legion are also soldiers, soldiers at war and those they kill are their enemies. It isn't murder. Legion also don't just kill people no reason like the fiends.

As for the crimes against women, you can't prove that, that legion soldier you just killed ever took part in such acts.

If anything you should get bad karma for killing Legion, unless you are a member of NCR or in self defence.

How is it any different from hanging someone or giving them the electric chair? sure it's a long way to die but in the end it also sends a message to others "don't break the law or this will happen to you." Those the Legion put on a cross broke the law or are enemies of the Legion.

Again you can't prove that every single Legion memeber is rapist. Odds are high but you can't prove 100% that everyone is.

Karma should just be removed from Fallout. There is no reason to have it anymore. We have the reputation system. This reflects on you're actions and other factions will like you or hate you for it.

Yeah but Karma is also abstract concept. In the end Karma in the games is determind by the games Devs. It's to complicated to sort out what is good and what is evil. As you can see people all have different ideas of what is good and what is evil and in the end. It's all pointless because it doesn't effect the game one damn bit.
