Broken morrowind disc

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 6:47 pm

I've been playing Skyrim for months now, and I finally decided to take a break, so I remembered, "I still have my Morrowind disc!" Excited, I dig through some old stuff to find my buried treasure, only to realize that it's too scratched to install on my new pc.

I'm hesitant to download a torrent because I'm not into that kind of thing, but I have to go back to college soon and with all the new releases I can't afford to spend the 20 dollars for the steam version.

WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!?!?!?

ps. Even worse, tribunal and bloodmoon managed to survive, but only mock me for having a broken morrowind disc.

ebay? gamestop maybe? phone a friend who has a CD-Polish Kit or a copy they aren't using? trade in some games you know you will never play again at gamestop? have a yard sale? start a fundraiser? ask your parents? ask grandparents?

DVD rental stores may have resurfacing machines that fix discs? My store does and can get rid of most, if not all, scratches.

Good to know! Being in the Netflix era, it'll be hard to find a living dvd store in NYC, but I'm sure there will be one hiding in a dark ally somewhere :P

Usually these places will provide this service. It may not be free... but most likely fairly cheap.

Toothpaste. Take your time and polish it up.

Don't laugh. I resurrected a Gothic 2 CD this way.
