FO 3 BROKEN STEEL

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 2:18 pm

iI'm just about to finish palying FO3. I read from the reviews that the add-on Broken Steel is better than the other ones. For a fiver, including postage, I suppose it's worth getting?

If you enjoy Fallout 3 and want to keep playing, then sure get it. It will expand the level cap from 20 to 30. Check out point lookout too. the other DLC's are sorta meh.

YOU DIDN'T LIKE THE PITT?!?!? :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:

Yeah but in all serious how could you say that? The Pitt was Bethesda's golden jewel on Fallout. Point Lookout came close but The Pitt was still the best.

Might as well get it. Events in Broken Steel are talked about in New Vegas.

It also adds more pointless bullet sponges to shoot at.. It also removes the endings and makes the whole point of the Enclave being in Fallout 3 moot and it also makes th whole point of Project Purity moot.

Yes, absolutely. Oh, how I remember the days before Broken Steel was released and we only had the original 20 levels and we would complain and complain about it. And then we got Broken Steel, and although it makes some changes we complained about I've never, ever removed it from my game. The other DLCs I have in my game all the time, too, but I don't play them every time, I ALWAYS want the baddies from BS in my game. Always. Also, that hard limit at 20 levels just comes too fast; 30 is way better and I put up with some of the BS issues for it.

Its definitely worth getting, although the level 30 cap does unbalance things somewhat. Capping at level 20 is about right, the game seems balanced for that. Adding another ten levels is a bit of overkill.

Having said that, the enemies and extra weapons are well worth having, as well as the extra quests. Just watch out for those reavers....

I enjoyed playing Broken Steel. I actually liked playing all of them minus Zeta (It's only good for XP IMO).
