Enough talking, here's the introduction, hope you like it..?
An Apple;A Misfortune...
Ten years of age, and Kevan was arguably the most rotten person to roam the hallways of Rivet City. He had no parents, he had no money, he had no morals. If any store owner saw him come by, they'd pull their weapons, and tell him to stay back. He was only ten years old, but no one cared.
The Scientists of Rivet City have always been working on a way to purify food and water. After the huge success of Project Purity, there was still the matter of food. Just a year later, the problem was solved. They managed to get their hands on an apple tree, and they'd grow these mutated, disgusting apples. But all they had to do was throw the brown ball into the machine, and press a button. A lush, giant, red apple would come out the other side.
Now, all these foods were available. For a price, of course. And the Rivet City Scientists paid big bucks for the guards to keep a keen eye on the foods. If anyone stole something, their heads would be the only way to pay them back. Kevan was no exception. And he learned that the day stole an apple. All those years ago...
Kevan snatched a big red apple from a table, and hid it under his coat. He quickly paced outside of the lab, and to the hallways of the city. From there, he made his way completely outside the massive boat, and onto land. It took at least three minutes, and by that time the guards noticed the stolen property. It was the middle of the night, and Kevan was the only one in the store for hours. They sent four men after him. After a ten year old.
He was outside, nibbling on his delicious snack. A loud thump was heard, and a bright light shined down from above on Kevan. He covered his eyes, and looked to the light. He saw three silhouettes of the guards in front of the near blinding light. Kevan bolted up, and ran for the city. Going behind the subway station, and into the building behind it.
Because he had such a huge head start, the guards were far behind him. Their bright spotlight on the back of a makeshift vehicle was kept on Kevan. As they were chasing him through the streets, Kevan tripped over a piece of broken road, and hit the ground. His face took most of the impact. He rolled on his back, exposing his broken nose and bloody face. He looked up, and saw the truck quickly get closer and closer.
As it was less than a foot away, Keven rolled off the road and into a giant hole in the ground. He tumbled down the hill, and banged his head on a large metal saucer. He looked at the piece of metal, but couldn't see anything. The bright spotlight from the trucks shined on him, exposing a green half circle cover the top of the saucer. The guards slowly approached Kevan, and he leaned against the green orb on the saucer.
"Someone help me." He said, starting to cry.
The orb opened, and Kevan fell back into the pod. It was a cockpit of sorts, filled with colorful buttons and levers. The guard outside started to kick and beat on the now-closed glass circle. An unsuspecting Kevan jumped back, and looked at the glass. He started to repeat something his mother would always say to him when he was scared.
"Go somewhere safe." He said, tightly shutting his eyes, trying to imagine a safe place.
The ship started to buzz, whir, and shake. The lights inside turned on and started to blink. The ship broke from the ground, and the guard on top of it fell to the ground. He covered his eyes, and shut them tightly. The light was brighter than the Sun, it seemed. The ship started to shake violently, then it disappeared with a flash. A light sparkled in the sky.
The guard who fell stood up, and opened his eyes. They were black, and burned from the light. He started to panic, and the other guards held him down. Another looked up to the sky, and said;
"All this, for an apple."
