My brother just deleted my save

But not as revenge :D

A double arrow kneecap and no more sweetrolls.. that makes up for a perfect revenge - and of course delete his savegame. I rest my case ^_^

Next time you see him playing the console, say this "STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM! NOBODY DELETES A SAVE ON MY WATCH!"

It happens, forgive him like a good brother and move on. It's been awhile since I had a 360 but I think you can create different profiles and prevent that from happening.

I know you definitly can on a computer. Just create different profiles and each profile has its own saved games folder. Works great for my kid and me. Don't have to worry about him messing up my game saves.

It's so hard to be the good brother when he won't even admit too it

There is no way to retrieve it, but you can delete his save as well.
:foodndrink:

I agree, delete his save file and say the exact same thing to him. I would in this situation.

OR, go on his save game, delete everything except his starting save and his current save, and on his current save rack up a huuuuge bounty in every hold, then go out and get yourself to 1% hp with the next incomming hit about to kill you, then save.
Then say 'the game did it'.

Yeah you should have used a different profile. It's basic common sense. When you share a console or a PC always make a separate profile. I don't let any of my friends try out my games on my profile, I always switch it to 'Player1' or something.

He really DIDN'T do it dude

I accidently just deleted my own level 40 rogue by starting a new character yesterday... it automatically wrote over it with a save right before you customize the character

Apparently if you have 5+ saves at the time of making a new character it will wipe out your least recent non-auto-save

Don't beat him up and don't delete his save either.... two wrongs don't make a right

Don't do that which your enemy does to you, lest you become like your enemy. Get your message across by first copying his save to something, then delete, see his face, then quickly assure him it's safe, right before the golf club impacts with your teeth. :liplick:

It would depend on if he meant to do it or not for one. If he did, I wouldn't delete his saves, I'd just leave him one save where the character was as utterly screwed as possible, so he can spend 70 hours working the kinks back out while you remake your character. Or you could just punch him in the face, then agree to have different profiles from that point forward and move on like men.

You may want to contact the Dark Brotherhood about this . . . I'm sure they could suggest a resolution.

Step 1: Delete all his saves.
Step 2: Kill all his companions.
Step 3: Kill a guard or two or more.
Step 4: Go to a different Hold and give away all his possessions including gold, just drop it all. [Or go to a Crypt/Dungeon and put it all in a chest that will soon reset]
Step 5: Go back and get arrested.
Step 6: Save in prison.

I am heavily confused with this logic

....

Dude...

There is such an easy solution for this, something you should have done the moment you bought the game:

1. Create new xbox profile, one that is for offline.
2. Create new character on that profile.
3. Saves don't show up on the same profile.
4. He cannot remove your saves unless he logs on to your profile.

Cakewalk.

I did this for Fallout 3, I had like 6 profiles and maybe 9 characters spread around across them.

If you are on PC there are programms that can restore deleted files.
Works better on recently deleted files though, older ones often come back unfonctional so I would either do that fast or you may sit there with a Zombie file.
Edit: Sorry, didnt see Xbox.

Get Skyrim on PC, Steam automatically uploads your save's to the cloud so if they get deleted on you HDD steam automatically re-download's them again for you. I have 400+ saves for my lvl 41 High Elf. My save's folder is 4.8gb's.

I had a save go missing when I created a new character after having a whole lot of saves in the file - thing was I knew exactly which save I was looking for (number 82) and it was just GONE.

So it might not have been your brother, if one disappeared. Now if he cleaned out a bunch, then yes it was him.

1. Get separate profiles

2. Keep numerous backup saves, like at least 3 for each character

3. I haven't tried storing on USB but it seems like a good idea

People are not creative enough...

Bide your time as he accrues more time on his character. Watch him. Learn where he stashes his stuff.

Log on when he is not around and put all his favorite stuff someplace retrievable yet random. Fast travel 4 times to a new location so autosaves don't rat you out. So he will not find it unless you let him. Delete earlier saves except for the one where you stashed his stuff. Hold his gear ransom.

???-Profit+revenge.

Of course he can't have a new character when you do this. Wait for him to be invested time wise.
