Saw our vault dweller blowing up a Brotherhood Initiate in a vetibird during the show. I'm all on board for wiping out the BoS!

I noticed that they didn't really name the BoS...Curious as to which chapter will be in Boston.
ya though hopefully they arent always hostile. after fallout 3 even if they were morons i could never bring myself to kill the bos in new vegas even when i tried a legion or house playthrough
BoS is definitely confirmed
But which chapter and what is their purpose for being there? I'm hyped!
I think it might just be guy in recon armour....
If they have TB-45 Power armour in the game it makes sense they have that as well, maybe you will have to put it on.
THEORY:
The REAL Brotherhood (not Lyons) sent a chapter to the area after hearing about the Institute, which their tech-obsessed brains would have deemed a threat. You can side with them or the institute and maybe another faction.
I hope they are true Brotherhood of Steel... So I can happily wreck their crap.
i like the Brotherhood, i hope we get the chance to join as well as kill them.
Yeah wonder if they're trying to take tech from Boston back west, or east for lyons crew
Eh [censored] em. I'm so sick of the Brotherhood. I want to see some new factions. You can't kick over a nuka cola bottle without discovering a Brotherhood/Enclave secret technology plot. It's really boring.
I want an original BOS so I can go on an BOS massacre!!!
well given how in the demo the PC was fighting with a few of them it seems likely they're antagonistic. or maybe they were just screwing around in the demo. who knows.
It's either the Midwestern BoS, or the East Coast Brotherhood (Lyons).
Given we saw an Initiate in power armor, I'm assuming it'll be Lyons' BoS, because as far as I know they're the only ones to outfit their initiates in power armor.
Why does everyone forget the freakin' http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Brotherhood_Outcasts? You know, the ones who did not go along with Lyon's reforms and instead continued following the core BoS ideals? If BoS is in Boston and wrecks havoc, it will most likely be these guys.
With that said, we don't know if that guy in the vertibird is BoS. The trailer shows a raider (veteran) in Power Armor so this guy could be literally anyone.
By BoS you mean actual BoS or that white-knight bunch of braindead wankers BGS came up with?
I'm betting the white knights are returning along with the mindless supermutants. Ugh.
With each post made here, I wonder if complainers ever played past the MQ. They are not come up with, the change in ideals was one man's reform, it caused a violent schism that ended in two BoS factions in Capital Wasteland AND most who did stay loyal to Lyons do not fully support it anyway. But of course, let us pretend they are all white knights because that makes it easier to whine.
Hell, did you guys even pay attention in other Fallouts? The order always had people ranging from "We gotta take everyone's tech!!1!" to "We gotta change!". But seemingly, if you are BoS you are automatically brainwashed into following just one code of acting.
Please don't let it be the Lyons variety.
I doubt they will be here. They have their hands full in Capital Wasteland by collecting tech and keeping peace.
If BoS is here, Outcasts are more likely to be the ones. I can't see them being able to resist the temptation to plunder the Institute.
Legion is unlikely to win: not only were they practically the main antagonist, but most players went with either NCR or House/Yes-man. There is no reason for them to go with Legion victory.
By "previous Fallouts" you mean Fallout 3? The game that stomped on the lore and made excuses, like the one you pointed out, to change factions and turn them into Disney archetypes? Please.
If it's exactly 200 years afterward's, wouldn't that be before the events of New Vegas.
So probably either Midwestern BOS, Lyons's BOS or the Outcasts who would I suppose go back to calling themselves BOS once they were out of Lyons's shadow.
I mean all four main Fallouts and Tactics.
BoS being the same EVERYWHERE is downright [censored]. Organizations don't act that way, even less the ones you are born into (which means you don't have to agree with it to be a part of it). For a good real-world example, you have Christian Churches.
The entirety of BoS never agreed with one core belief. Even at the end of FO1, they can help the wastelanders drive off the supermutants and go into isolation, or decide to take over the world and bring to "an age of darkness that lasts a thousand years". Heck, one could say that they were screwed up exactly because they used to be nice to wastelanders.
BoS was one of few things Beth did right in FO3: their difference was explained, the change in beliefs made sense in context and it was NOT fairy-tailish as BoS are still [censored]s, even the ones from Lyon's Pride. Heck, the BoS from FNV was much friendlier than these egocentric [censored].
