Hi people!! I just faced with the Brotherhood inside a bunker in Hiden Valley, the elder "asked" me to deal with the NCR scout camped in the Valley and that's what I did. I'm talked to him and now he is gone. Then I reentered the Brotherhood bunker dressed as NCR and they turned agressive... I went back, undressed - put something else orther than as NCR - and they went passive. My questions: is there some rivalry between them? And what is the role of Caesar's Legion?

Yeah the NCR and Brotherhood are at war, kind of an important plot point.

Haven't you seen the in-game slides? They state the Brotherhood warred with the NCR for control of advanced tech. The NCR attacked a Brotherhood-held Helios then all hell broke lose, the BoS lost and had to retreat. The Legion wants to decimate the NCR and conquer New Vegas.

Not trying to come off as a jerk, but this stuff is all laid out in the game.

• NCR - Caesar's Legion: Are at war.
  
• NCR - BoS: Were at war before the events of New Vegas with a NCR victory. Yet it's apparent that there is still hostilities between the two factions.
  
• Caesar's Legion - BoS: Caesar leaves a hint that they may have discovered Midwestern Brotherhood Scribes in Colorado or north of the state, and armour of some legionaries (Centurions especially) are adorned with Power Armour. So they've had contact, yet doubtful it was friendly.
