Are the Brotherhood outcasts good people or are they just evil. Cause I just started killing them to see what was inside Fort Independence.

I really wouldn't call them evil. Just [censored]s. They are really more in tune with what the Brotherhood really is. And that is technology policing.

Well he's already killed them anyway, before even taking the time to find out whether they're good or bad so why should he care?

There really is no good or bad in Fallout, just actions and your consequences.

The Outcasts are just bringing the 'tradition' of the original west coast BoS' quest for technology, and keeping it from the "dumb" locals. They feel the need to preserve the ancient technology from the pre war world. So in a sense they aren't good or bad. Most factions in the Fallout universe are complicated like that, and it depends on what they are doing and how the are doing it.

Also, there is no need to kill the Outcasts to see what is inside Fort Independence, as long as you are hidden, just pick the lock on the door and they won't attack you inside or out.

That would be correct in any of the Fallouts besides Fallout 3, which is Black and White, and there aint nothing to change that,

Is what the West-Coast Brotherhood/ Outcast trying to do so bad? I mean what if the wrong hands get their fingers on a cache of dismantled energy weapons? What if they find parts to put together some T-51bs? What the Brotherhood is trying to is protect the wastelanders from themselves. It's only until selfish motivations set in that things started going wrong.

Exactly, as stated in the posts here, the outcasts are more like the West Coast Brotherhood, and are following their Original mission orders, to get technology and preserve it from the locals who might use it to cause harm or trouble.

Everybody knows how to make another human being, but the ability to make a A3-21 Plasma Rifle is almost gone.

Yes, the Outcasts are pure saints...
