Brotherhood of steel. Crappy people?

Hello,

I was searching the brotherhood of steel, when I ended in a dark valley called Hidden valley, and was captured by them. To be honest they acted like basterds, put me a collar and sent me to kill a ranger. I tried to warn him to go away when they broke into the bunker he was hiding, and attacked us. I miraculously managed to kill the aggressors, but I now think that the possibility to gain the power armor is totally screwed. I haven't met veronica anywhere. I was exploring to decide which tribes were to save in case I had decided to take over NV with the help of "Yes man" robot. If the people I've met are the real brotherhood of steel, maybe they really deserve to be deleted from the robot army. I'd like some advice and clarifications before going on. Where could I meet this famous Veronica from the Brotherhood of steel? Where can I find a dog follower if there is one? Is still possible for me to gain power armor training?

At this point I do not think that Veronica can help you with the Bos, I think they will shoot on site from now on as you are their enemy.

The good news is that destroying the BoS fits all of the major factions end game plans.

You can learn power armor training from the Enclave but that will not happen until the end. Without using JE Sawyer mod power armor is not very good anyway so you are not missing anything.

Veronica is still at the 188 Trading Post north of Novac and Helios One.

The guys in the bunker are the "Real Brotherhood of Steel" - not the nonsensical Lyon's BoS from DC, these are true followers of the Codex.

If you were there for power armor, you'll have to follow Arcade Gannon's hidden quest in the Old Mormon Fort. Hope you like the Followers of the Apocalypse. But the Brotherhood is generally seen as tech-hoarding basemant nerds. The stereotype is reflected in the dialogue of many characters through out the series. Reinforced by the craziest and greediest of them all, like Elijah.

Now, you want a dog too? You'll want the cyberdog Rex, who can be found at the side of the King in Freeside. The quest for him is not as hidden as Arcade Gannon's, but I think you have to do some other work first.
