Is Brotherhood of Steel worth getting?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:30 am

I am considering ordering the PS2 version of Fallout: BOS . Is it a good Fallout game? How many people on here played it and what did you think of it?
I am a big fan of New Vegas and FO3, but have not played the originals Fallouts.
I have heard fixed things about it from various people, but I am curious what Fallout fans have to say about it. Worth the buy?

It's a good mini frisbee. Or it could make a good coaster for your coffee cup. As a game though....... I think you'd prefer "Ball in a cup".

Honestly it is just awful mate.

There is only one way I can properly say this:

HELL NO!!

That game is god mother-(you don't want want to see this) awful. Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is HORRIBLE. It's Interplay's biggest [censored] up, and I have yet to play a game that is more horrible than THAT game. In fact, forget about any notion of buying that game.

If you're going to spend ANY money on a Fallout game, buy Fallout 1 and 2. They're good, amazing even, but do NOT EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER buy Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

If you've ever played PS2 games Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, it is practically the same, just with Fallout theme.

That what we do not speak off has been spoken off. Bring in the Fallout Inquisition by not expecting them.

Use that money to buy the trilogy pack instead - Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout: Tactics. Enjoy them! Great games.

Then if you DARE and feel you've got a few money that you want to do something else than use to light your cigarette with, buy Fallout: BoS and try it. Don't have too high hopes though. When you've played the five other Fallout games, you will notice that F:BoS doesn't really follow lore.

I haven't really played it myself, but 9 out of 10 people on this forum gives it 1 of 100 Star bottle caps.

If you play the originals, BE WARNED! You might be unable to finish it as it crashes CONSTANTLY! i couldn't even finish the game. As I said on another tread: despite the complaints about glitches in 3+NV, the entire series seems to have big problems with glitches.

No, that game is crap. Now don't confuse it for Fallout Tactics Brotherhood of Steel, that game is great.

By stating the name of this blasphemy, I denounce you a heretic of the Holy Fallout Faith, traitor to the Fallout Empire, and blasphemy of Chris Avellone's holy work.

Have you any last words? Too bad, light the fire!

Seriously, your money would be much better spent on the Fallout Trilogy. Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics = hours and hours and days and weeks of quality gaming. All the people who argue about how bad Fallout 3 is, or how bad Fallout NV is, should be forced to play POS so they can see just how truly bad a Fallout game can be.

You know what? Considering that I've got ahttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHo2pXO_XAI, I think I'll just try out 'The Burned Game' just to see if, overlooking the fact that it might as well be called "Mr Awesomedude's Fantastic Nuclear Adventure" for all the reference it makes to Fallout if it is indeed a 'good' game. Of course I'll have to wear gloves and some goggles but other than that I shall risk myself for all of you to see if it really is that bad.

I actually really enjoyed that game. But I have a feeling it will have a very different feel than other Fallout games so I probably will not get it.
