BrotherhoodOutcast question?

Post » Tue Dec 08, 2015 1:31 am

So, I've only watched the initial launch trailer or w/e twice so I haven't done much tearing it apart for details aside from noticing that BoS seems to have a big presence in it maybe. My question was could the Outcasts be apart of FO4 as well? I've never finished FO3, mainly because I felt like it'd just take away from something I love. So I don't really know if they died out or not and I only met them in the OA dlc. I'd like to see them personally.

The Outcasts are doomed to the same lingering death that the Western Brotherhood chapters are. I highly doubt they're resurgent.

Really it's all going to depend on what the actual time line is. The Outcasts were still a faction at the end of F3. Does the story actually take place exactly 200 years after the Great War? In that case I can't see any of the F3 factions having presence in The Commonwealth. Was 200 years an aproximation by Pete? If that is the case then I would say it's possible for the outcasts to have traveled north.

It's a long road to Boston from District Columbia.

Some people prefer to fly.

They have a fort in DC as well, they don't seem to bad off compared to Lions BoS but they were ment to be heading back West not North East. Currently no one is sure which chapter they are or if they could even be a new one.

It sees the BoS are an optional faction again (like NV) as there's parts they fight along side the sole survivor then another they are attacking. It could be simlar to the NCR and Legion with the BoS and Institute but that's just guess work really.

We've only really had fleeting glimpses of the Brotherhood in action-- like being blown up in a vertibird by the player...No real talk about their involvement, just that we know, without a doubt that they are there. Like in every Fallout game, they are probably a joinable faction...I don't remember if you do join them in Fallout 2, or you just work alongside them...But they are definitely joinable in 1, tactics, 3 and New Vegas, so...Who knows. Friend or foe, good times or ill.

Pretty much this. Even in Fallout 3, they have a relatively small group and are using a good number of reprogrammed robots to supplement their numbers.

Scavenging technology and patrolling the wastes is pretty dangerous work. And by refusing to take on local recruits, they're only limiting their numbers to a finite amount. One that constantly dwindles.

If they're smart, they'd try and get Lyons to take them back. But their stubborn backwardness won't allow for that. And the West Coast BOS isn't exactly a good home to go back to so they're sort of stuck in limbo and doomed to ultimate failure regardless of whether they return West or not. Highly doubt we'll see them in Fallout 4.

Doubt they'll be her unless they decided to rejoin Lyon's brotherhood after they got the sweet enclave tech.

I hope there is no mention of that stupid Lyons bull.

They need to be the real brotherhood bad ass techophiles.

Edit: people dont understand that Lyon's Brotherhood were the actual outcasts.

The outcasts were the real brotherhood.

I wouldn't be surprised if the BOS in Fallout 4 is the East Coast BoS reunited with the Outcasts; it'd explain why they've been strongly hinted to be 'not so nice' this time around.

Personally I'm not a big fan of the Brotherhood, especially the outcasts. Ashur was 100% dead spot on about them.

The outcast was a specific faction who seperated itself from lyon's chapter.

They are following the original ideaology of gathering tech from the wasteland because they judge not anybody can handle pre war technology.

The chance is small you will see them
