.bsa loading problem

Post » Wed Feb 24, 2010 7:27 pm

Hello everyone,

i've registered a *.bsa file, containing a pluginless texture replacer, in the morrowind.ini (manualy as well as with BSAReg)
I rechecked the structure with BSABrowser and everything seems to be in place. But when i start Morrowind there are still the
Vanilla-textures. I've done a full refresh in Wyre Mash, but still the same. Don't know how to handle it, of course i can use
the replacer function of Wyre Mesh but it should work with archives too, doesn't it. I'd be grateful for advice.

best regards

I had the same problem. Sort off. Basically some textures/model will load from the BSA, others won't. And I'm 100% sure they have the same name as the original since withou .esp files checked and outside of the BSA file, they do replace everything they are meant to replace. So... dunno. I could never fix it so I just went back to tossing almost everything in the data files folder.

Anything in your data files folders will be loaded before a BSA. Basically you will either have to unpack the BSA file and toss the loose files into your textures folder, delete the files you want replaced from your textures folder, or download a version that isn't in a BSA.

Thanks for your replys, i unpacked the .bsa, repacked it with 7zip and threw it into the installers folder of Wyre Mash :) works pretty good and it's a charme to deinstall or reorder.
