[RELz] BSA Registration Utility

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 5:47 am

Leo don't hate me, I updated it again
As you can see http://moautoupdate.net/BSAscreen.jpg I added the "Detect All" button, that redetects again all the bsa file if you need to (or you added another one while running the tool).
As always if you could update the description, the file and also the screen on GHF I would be very grateful! :foodndrink:
I don't hate you instead I envy you because you're a real modder, which I'm not and I don't know if I ever be one but who knows perhaps some day.

Okay I'm on it to update it again.

Wow, we are talking on two forums, lol.

There's always time to learn for everything. Remember that I'm searching for collaborators to do the Game Experience pack, you could join! :whistling:
Thank you for the update, I promise this is the lasto one!

Well can we a least stop chasing each other on two forums for a change, because it can be a little confusing and perhaps one of us begin to think.

Where is he I know he should be around here somewhere or has he just got banned or something

So you don't know my http://www.fliggerty.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=85468#p85468? :whistling:

What you think should we have the development of BSA Registration Utility in a separate thread only on GHF or here or both forums?

Good. I thought you might like my idea of a development thread, so who should do that you or me. I would say you should because I've already *stolen your RELz thread there* remember.

When I use this on a fresh install, I get the "missing Meshes BM_snowflake_01.nif" error. Without using this tool, Bloodmoon.bsa and Tribunal.bsa load properly.

Works great for me? :stare:
Anyway this tool shouldn't tuch at all the esms, it only affects the archives section of the ini.
Strange, I'll search the problem

EDIT: tried in 2 different PCs and 3 MW installations, works great in all of them :S

Are you guys having Morrowind installed in the C:\Program Files(x86) folder?

If so then you might have found the culprit for your snowflake error, which I don't have since I've Morrowind installed outside of that Vista+Windows7 system folder.

It's strange because the tool shouldn't touch nothing else than the archives section on the ini

No, the main install is C:\Games\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind. That's just the archive copy. I run several other copies elsewhere, copying the clean main install each time. I'm trying to register .bsa in a fresh copy.

I don't see how it's possible :\
Are you using the lastest version of the tool? Every install you are trying has a fresh and new Morrowind.ini?

I don't know but it seems to me that BSA Registration Utility doesn't handle multiply Morrowind copies well especially when you have an archived installation of Morrowind. Perhaps that's something missing in handling of Windows register in BSA Reg Utility.

I just come to think about something important. Have anyone of you guys tried to register a BSA before you launch Morrowind and just exit before using BSA Reg Utility?

I don't get any launch errors, but it doesn't look like the .bsa is working in-game. I'm trying to use a .bsa of Connary's textures. I'm fairly certain it worked in the past. To be sure, does anyone have a link to a texture replacer .bsa I can use to test?

Connary's bsa sometimes causes problem with some users, are you using steam?
Btw if the Bloodmoon and Tribunal bsa are working then the tool must work aswell.

I have the old out of the box GOTY edition... I checked with a repackaged .bsa I made of Connary's textures, as well as a .bsa I made of Darknut's textures, everything works perfectly now, thank you!

It would be brilliant if the assets of the Morrowind Overhaul packages came in .bsa form, by the way.
