BSAs and Facegen

Post » Wed May 11, 2016 9:00 am

I've been noticing a problem in my game recently with any added NPCs (or mods that revamp existing ones). If the FaceGenData has been packaged into the BSA of the mod, it's not getting imported into the game, but loose files are.

Is there a setting I need to enable or change somewhere in one of the inis so that the FaceGenData will be properly loaded into the game from included BSAs?

The game loads BSAs by default as long as the names match the esp. So ModA.esp will cause ModA.bsa to load. If the files have been properly stored in that BSA, they will load.

If there are loose files in the Data folder that contain the same information but don't match up then those would override everything in the load order since loose files load last.
