Bug in Campaign Cant Continue the Story!!!

Post » Tue Feb 10, 2009 3:13 am

Okay so I am in the part where yo have to destroy the Pinger, and thats no problem. I get that done in no time, but after its down it says Regroup with Chino at the vehicles or something like that. So the cars come out and that blue way point comes up on Chino. I go to him and nothing happens. I can get into one of the vehicles and drive it in a circle since there is no where to go with it, all the roads are blocked and there is no talking or anything and the waypoint never comes off Chino, who is standing in the same spot not moving. It will not let me progress with the story. I have redone this part about 10 times, restarted the ps3 and everything!!! What do I do!!!! I refuse to start the campaign over again and really want to finish the campaign, it is a pretty sweet game until I got to this bug!!!

I looked it up and I did exactly what I am supposed to. The level is supposed to end there, but I can leave it up for 30 minutes and it will not end. Chino is supposed to talk according to the walkthrough vid I saw and he never does in my game.

When I was there (I have the pc version, mind you) it wouldn't under any circumstance continue until I was standing DIRECTLY in front of him looking straight at his face, honestly if I wasn't dead center focused on him he wouldn't say a word. Hope this helps.

I've stood directly in front of him for a while. Oh well, at least the multiplayer is way better than I expected so at least I'm still having some fun with this game. Hopefully they will patch it soon. The campaign so far has been great.

Same here. I'll try the staring in the face instead of running everyone over in the hummer. LOL

if this is that part where your outside and he is standing like next to a car with the blue waypoint on him just walk towards the city eventually you will hear the suit say tactcal options availible and see aliens jumping around then chino and crew will come up behind you and thats how it worked for me.

There is no place to advance into the city. It's a sealed quad where you fight your first Pinger. The only way you can go is the way you came from but that's not where you need to go. The marker stays on Chino. It's clearly a bug.

Ok the solution that worked for me was to reload chapter not just the checkpoint. Main menu select campaign and choose the last level you were on it will start you back at the headquarters where the big robot broke the windows and flooded it out. Just start from there and it works.

ok, well i have a different issue. I'm at the part where u have to shoot the hellicopter down, whitch would be no problem but when i got to that checkpoint i had to leave so it saved and then i turned it off, but when i went to play again it loads but i cant do anything its just stuck in a fozen state. I can hear sounds but i cant do anything. I tried multiple times. Now thats an issue. lol
