Bug on quest "I could make you care" - SPOILER


On the quest i got to the point where i can choose one of the 3 technology that might be good for BOS:

1. Pulse Gun
2. Rangefinder
3. Farming technology

Until there fine, the quest tells me that i cant proceed with the rangefinder technology cause i did already the quest "That lucky old sun" and i didnt choose the Archimedes II, so i got the 2 other options left.

I choose the Farming technology cause i already done the quest "There stands the grass" and it will be easy to complete, thats when the problem begins.

So i went to the elder but didnt get any dialogue to complete the quest (Veronica was in my part and was near the elder). I tried to go to vault 22 again, spoke with Kelly and no new dialogue, also went to the server and was unable to retrieve any infro from there. Went to talk with Doctor Hildern on the Camp McCarran and no new dialogue option on it.

On the "There stands the grass" quest i found Kelly and also kept the information from the server and to complete this, I shared the info with Doctor Hildern on Camp McCarran.


Anyone with the same situation as me was able to complete the quest using the farming techonology option?

Also if any developer see this thread what i suggest is:
- after completing the quest "There stands the grass", leave the info on the pipboy so then it can be used on Veronicas quest also
- or put a flag on it telling the same as it did with the rangefinder, not creating a false on hope on the poor courier so ;P

I had a similar issue where I completed There Stands The Grass before receiving I Could Make You Care. When opening I Could Make You Care's quest log, it still showed that I need to retrieve the server info from the vault, but I was unable to after re-traversing the vault and reaching the objective computer. However, where my game differs is after not being able to re-retrieve the data, I decided I'd just go to Elder McNamara regardless of what my quest log says, and Veronica approached him and they had their end of quest dialog regardless of what my quest log had claimed I'd not done.
So all I can suggest is going back to Elder McNamara despite not actually getting anything from the vault on your second trip and see if it recognizes your progress as it did for me, if not then I'm sorry to hear of your misfortune.

Well, I had the missfortune of having the Elder getting booted when I was in Vault 22, and when I returned Hardin didn't seem to be the guy Veronica wanted to talk to. :/ Seems this quest has a few problems.
