Bug regarding blue (rare) items on returning explorers.

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 2:48 pm

So I've noticed a recuring issue regarding blue items (rare items). Whenever my explorers have found blue items in the wasteland and returned with them, the items fail to appear in my inventory. Things like Three-Dog's outfit, enhanced flamers and enhanced laser pistols. The game seems to refuse to put these blue items into my storage. I've confirmed I've had space in my inventory and everything, they just do not appear. Only exception has been when an explorer returned with one of the items equiped. In that scenario, it was fine.

Anyone noticed anything similar?

YES.

This is killing my ability to be prepared for these new incident attacks.

Please squash this bug ASAP. Almost every decent weapon (lvl 8+) or outfit shows as blue in the explorer's inventory list and doesn't show up in the vault after collection

I have this on all my vaults, I get the caps just fine but they either sell the equipment immediately when I press the collect button or it just gets removed from the game altogether.

So it's an issue that's affecting multiple people. What are you going to do about it Bethesda?

Silence is the best response Bethesda gives I've unfortunately learned.

Geeb, you realize this is posted in the general forum and not the support forum, right?

That being said, make sure you're not clicking the item in the returning dweller's cache before pressing "collect." If you click the item, you will see the icon change to caps and it will automatically convert the item to currency upon entering. If you do this accidentally, just click the item again to revert it to the item.

Secondly, I've found that blue items from the wasteland can actually be yellow (legendary) once you actually return and they are added to your inventory. I had a blue armor that I couldn't find anywhere in my storage, then I looked for the item by name and found it was actually a 7-stat legendary.

I'm aware of that feature and that's not what has been occuring here. I've checked and doubled checked with blue items coming in.
