I7 4770k 3.5ghz stock
16gb ram
Palit gtx 980 super jetstream in SLI
1920x1080
Windows 8.1 64bit
Latest drives

Preston seems to be glitched for me, after completing a quest which asks me to go back to talk to him, I press E and nothing happens he just carries on walking like I'm not even there. I have tried reloading saves, leaving the area and returning but nothing.

Side note

Everything maxed out I can't maintain solid 60 with sli on or off. Dips to 40 quiet often. (I know the game does not support sli yet)

Micro stuttering is also present,

Even with anti aliasing to best performance or best quality I can't maintain solid 60.

I personally think looking at the benchmark results that have been put out by nvidia, if a gtx 980ti is the only card the can maintain a steady 60fps at 1080p then they need to do some serious optimisation

Foreground is white which fades to black the further away something is, like a gradient based on distance to objects. Looks like a depth of field error which I have set to low. I'm now close to the third "settlement" and everywhere I look it's white. When I was further away from this location I could look in certain directions where the graphics were normal; but the closer I got the directions where this glitch occurs increases. So now it's all a white gradient.

It seems to occur during storms and rain.

  • What is your CPU & graphics card (include model numbers)? Intel i7-4770K, ASUS GTX780Ti.
  • How much RAM? 16GB
  • What resolution and graphics settings are you playing at? High, no AO, no DoF, borderless.
  • Upon encountering an issue: where in the game you were, how long were you playing, what were you doing at the time? On my way from Lexington to third settlement (Sanctuary included). Can't check the name of the location since the world mostly white gradient.
  • What is your character level? 7 I think.
  • Which mods if any are you running? None.

There is no way to turn off mouse acceleration in options.

Also, it is said that they didn't learn their lesson from vsync in skyrim. Same bugs after couple of years of development and still the same buggy engine.

Potentially game breaking bug report - Edit: This is a game breaking bug, I cannot progress due to not being able to use 90% of terminals

System specs

i7 4770k @ 4.3Ghz,

Zotac AMP Extreme 980Ti - factory overclock,

16Gb 2400Hz DDR3 RAM,

Installation Drive - 2TB Western Digital HDD,

Display - Asus ROG Swift (1440p, 144Hz, G-Sync)

Windows 10 64Bit

All drivers and updates are current

Game settings

2560 x 1440, Ultra settings, Motion Blur off

Character level 4

Issue

When using terminals on exit only the character's head will turn roughly 90 Degrees left or right but will not move. When looking around the characters arms can be seen as if the camera has detached from the character and is now clipping through the body, jumping and crouching are possible, walking/running is not

Items around the terminal can be collected,

Can change from first person to third person

Cannot sit down or re-interact with the terminal,

This is random and does not happen on every terminal but it does with most

Does not appear to affect terminals where passwords are entered, although I have not encountered many.

It has occurred on all terminals in the vault and in the robotic junk yard north east of Sanctuary

Crouching before using the terminal occasionally helps

The thread I made is linked in the OP but I thought I'd restate here. Fullscreen mode has very severe frame pacing issues on my system, it's unusable. Borderless windowed mode is far better but I get very severe stuttering when I sprint in certain directions; sprinting from the Vault towards Sanctuary is very stuttery but the same route in reverse is pretty smooth.

I'm also getting rather heavy frame rate dips around the Corvega plant, especially when climbing the towers and looking back towards the buildings in Lexington where the Raiders are holed up.

Asus Pro Gamer z97, GTX 980 (OC), i7 4790k (4.4ghz), 16GB RAM, 500GB EVO SSD, Win 7 x64.

Keep crashing after character creation when running to vault to evac. Have tried beta patch. Updating drivers and much more. Nothing listed so far works.

1) When looking very close to character face, eyes and eyelashes dissapear and reappear from time to time. Probably alpha objects sorting issue. I've used "tfc" command, because awful controls do not allow to look at character like in Skyrim.

2) Sounds from character always centered to camera, this is very annoying when playing with third person mode or especially flying around with "tfc".

IcyDeadPeople, this thread probably ought to be stickied/pinned! Not sure why a bug tracker thread would be buried a couple of pages down... unless you have it linked in a master thread somewhere that I haven't found ;)

Default loot button for containers and bodies is E, and transfer is R. This is game breaking for people who rebind movement keys to ESDF. Please change the default bind for looting containers, thank you!

Oh my god yes THIS! I got a heart attack when I first discovered this. I noticed this especially at night time when I ran through areas that were lighten up I move at lightning speed. This also affects conversations as the characters I talk to move the lips too fast (but the sound is normal) resulting in other persons interrupting the conversation and start talking simultaniously. How can I get rid of this?
NVIDIA GTX 970 Windows 10

I turned on Vsync in the control panel but it still doesnt not fix anything. I dont even wanna run in Vsync. My computer was capable of running the Witcher 3 with over 90 FPS. Fallout 4 requires less, so I move at lightning speed

I apparently have way too much FPS because my rig is capable of running the game on a 1080P monitor with over 60FPS but I am playing on an unsupported 5:4 monitor, which I had to readjust in the configs so I got the right aspect ratio ingame.

Also the invisible lock picking bug cannot be fixed for 5:4 ratios as it seems. Some people managed to fix it by removing 1 point of the resolution in the cfg, but many 5:4 users confirm that it does not fix it for them (such as myself).

Need 21:9 support and 144hz. Same bugs as others when not capping at 60 or 30hz, Freezing when exiting terminals and other strange things happening.

Do you mean when you are exiting vault after the second character creation menu ? or when running to enter the vault?

People with aspect ratios of 4:3 and 5:4 (me included) can only run the game in a really really small window. If the settings are changed via ini file fullscreen works, but the UI makes it partially unplayable. Large parts of the Power Armor UI are cut off at the left and right sides and the lockpicking minigame is invisible. Will this issue be adressed or is it working as intended?

Can't really pick a single one for this, but there are probably hundreds of incorrect shader flags on meshes everywhere. It messes up lighting in indoor and night time areas. This has been a problem with many gamesas games (ice on snow, stone on wood, fire on everything, etc) and it would have been nice if they had for once gotten it right with a new game. Not expecting them fixed in a future patch at this point. It will probably be up to the community again to identify and fix all these meshes.

Very bad game error, at random points my entire PC crashes, not just to desktop. The beta patch seems to reduce the frequency of them but doesn't prevent them. Given the nature of the crash it is likely fallout has a issue with some of my hardware, BTW im running the game on medium graphics and it is patched to the latest beta patch (was way worse on vanilla in terms of crashing). Below is a summary of my specs, and I would attach is my DxDiag but I cant figure out how. Any help would be nice.

Maybe not a bug but an annoying issue: Hardcoded controls. The main ones I've noticed so far are the controls for looting containers which are always E and R. It drives me crazy since I don't use E for interact, but my friend who refuses to use anything but the arrow keys for movement is having an even harder time.

In addition, many if not all of the UI key prompts always show the default controls.

monitor 5:4 1280x1024
nvidia gtX980
8GB ram
intel I7 4790

i'd love to see a fix to that problem.

Hi guys, i've been having a bug showing huge aliasing on NPCs shadows, that many others are having too...

The problem seems to happen only with AMD graphic cards, and i found a working tweak on the AMD forums. It worked perfectly for me so i wanted to post it here:

Thanks to backFireX64 for this workaround!

Hope it will work for everyone, and have a good wandering!
