Not really a bug, but when iy would be convenient, can we go back to the old star system?

I also like the narrow screen, took a bit of getting used to after the wide screen of the previous forum set up, it allows me to sit my WMP in the space.

All the more reason to make it so that each individual user can choose how wide the forum is going to be for him/her, I don't know if that'll be doable though...

I've never seen anything like that.

Wouldn't be overly difficult. Whether it gets done or not would probably depend on how Invision feels about end-user alterations to the product. That's not something that can be changed without messing with the PHP underneath.

You could edit the stylesheet to make width a percentage, then the user's browser window is the determining factor. Probably the easiest compromise.

Not really a bug, but it sure would be nice to get some better formatting for the 'Friends' part of your profile...

if you're not sure what I'm talking about or what the issue is, just check out my profile <_<

How come I'm not on your friendlist :stare:

I've been playing "Catch the post button" for a little bit because of the strange stuttering. Looks like I caught that bastard. Stuttering is my biggest complaint at the moment.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or did I just misread/misunderstood something, but I recall that yesterday there was no gender icon on my profile page even though the gender was set to male in my profile, then I clicked on gender setting and re-set it to male and the icon appeared. Maybe the default setting is male but no icon - I don't know how.
I've been staring at your avatar for ten minutes. I'd better not look at this forum while at work or I wouldn't get anything done.

The "Go up" button seems to have been lost in the transition. It was a most useful little thing in all of the longer threads.
This too.

There is probably some script, but to make the forums work with it would be a challenge.

This too.

There's a link to the CD forum at the bottom of each thread.

I just made a post http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1081516-forum-style-alterations/page__view__findpost__p__15756036 and for some reason the forum code went a little crazy, as you can tell.

I have no idea what could have caused that, my post is nothing but text.

edit - OK I have a hunch what may have caused that problem, I clicked the "Reply" button on somebody else's post instead of the "Add Reply" button at the bottom of the thread, maybe there are some issues with the button I used?

I've already mentioned that the "this post is hidden" box is unreadable due to white text on a white background; code boxes now have a white background (the massive contrast means that my eyes take a few seconds to adjust and be able to read the text) and they flicker when I scroll.

Okay, since a few minutes, I got a problem with a "script" - whatever that is - firefox tells me that "gamesas/whatever/prettify/prettify.js:36" doesn't answer, blah-blah. Makes the forums freeze too.

Honestly I think this might be a clash with the prettify tan stylish theme I've just installed, but in case this is not...

Once yesterday and three times tonight I have been booted off the forum and had to sign back in because I tried to edit my FanFic. Each time it did this, it turned the story to some HTML code so no one else could read the story.

Everyone has to edit their story, it is never perfect the first time posted anyway - but this site is adding spaces (if you submit a part that is single spaced it adds a space in). If you submit three periods ... it removes them. If you submit three spaces between a POV change it adds six extra spaces. If you don't put those spaces in, it crams everything together.

This is unworkable for FanFics.

It is bad enough that the borders and profile allowance take up over half the page, and the area for the text is a tube we are supposed to scroll down (on software that stutters the whole time you scroll) - making it so unpleasant that no one wants to read it - but now we can't edit our stories, and if we try, half the people that come to read see a smashed up coded page and can't read it.

This needs to be corrected, the fanfic section is a huge draw for a lot of people. Please and thank you.

Damn. We're still getting authorisation mismatches (by any other name)? I'd hoped the update would resolve that.

I noticed that in people's friends lists, mine included, certain people have no image. They don't even have the question mark, they simply don't have an area for an image. Look at my list and you'll see that Wind doesn't have any image, and neither does FALLOUTFTW, even though when you go to his profile he clearly does.

Edit them in an external editor like Word.

Another bug I noticed is that I have too many stars...:P
No bugs/glitches here since I've been using the hacked skins. Besides the one Antibody mentioned above...I just saw that.

Erm... are we supposed to be able to embed youtube videos!?

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1076687-gold-found-on-youtube-%2331/page__view__findpost__p__15756392

That has the potential to become even more spammy than if pictures were allowed.

Yeah, not sure about that at the moment. Until we find if it is supposed to be there the same forum rules apply to posting inappropriate stuff, but if it is linked directly on the forum I for one will be banning any errant person does it. :stare:

There's no way to close fast reply any more, or unload the editing toolbars from it. There's also a big empty chunk of Flash at the bottom, doing nothing...

The RSS feed icon keeps disappearing as the page loads.

Not so much of a "bug" as a "disservice" to people coming here.

The main forums page groups things according to game. There is currently no direct link to the Community Discussion forum.

This is very confusing, and I only found it by taking a chance and hoping a link was included on any of the game sub-pages. Could you please include a direct link to this forum on the main forums page?

The reason given is that the main page is for Bethesda games, and Community Discussion is not a Bethesda game. There's a link to Community Discussion in every single game forum now, so just click on a random forum, then click on the Community Discussion sub-forum and boom, you're here. It's not that difficult, and if it really bothers you just bookmark Community Discussion.
