Bug Report Thread

Is the AIM field missing for anyone else in Profile Settings? I can see it clear as day on my profile page, but I can't change it

Yep, it's not in my settings either.

Checked Firefox 3.6 with no user CSS enabled and your friends list was above your comments for me

Is it just your friends list, or everyone's you see?

It's for everyone's profile. Huh, oh well, I'll see what happens the next time I restart Firefox.

Firefox, and no, I'm running the forums without any alterations. Is the friends list problem happening to you?

Yeah, I can see it normally as well. Are you running any extensions in FF?

This may be fairly minor, but bring back the red lock! :cold:
EDIT: Also, my AIM is wrong and I can't change it. Meh

Indeed. I believe the moderators also get greater satisfaction when they can put a red lock on a thread, no? So it's a win-win.

Yes I have a bug... the new forums ate my profile information, my signature is gone and my avatar address was blanked as well. I used to have an avatar and a signature I didn't forget to put one in and no the avatar's web address wasn't deleted that I know of. =P It was the Khajiit.gif some people still have their zenimax forums avatars.

lolwtfbbq? :P

I think it is because they changed it to the avatars, which is not a good move. :stare:

Oh that screenshot is only half the fun. In the friends lists where there are so many friends that it shows "x random out of y" or whatever it says, it also looks effed up like this, but when you click on show all it suddenly realises its mortal sins and decides to actually show the user pictures. :-|

lolwtfbbq indeed.

I am really trying to get adjusted to the new look....but...someo the changes are making it very, very hard....

The on that bothers me the most, so far: In user profile, you use to be able to see user posts and topics going back...far. I use this to keep track of onging threads I am involved in (and to stalk other users). Now I can only track 4 or 5 posts/topics.

Scrolling through a code box makes the search bar at the top go weird; I attribute this to the general weirdness of code boxes atm. This is in Firefox 3.5.8 - I'll have to upgrade to 3.6 and see if that fixes anything.

Edit: I searched and didn't find it mentioned, but prettify.js is horribly slow - I get repeated warnings about it being unresponsive and it's freezing Firefox for several seconds while it executes.

This may have been reported already. Regardless, on one of my computers I'm using IE7 . . . while the forums are slow in general to load, the "scrolling" on my IE7 machine is UNBEARABLY slow. It feels like I'm getting about a 5 frames-per-second refresh on the window when it's scrolling (typing isn't much better). It's almost un-usable to be honest. Anyone know why this might be the case or if it's been discussed before? Thanks!

EDIT: Incidentially the Nexus forums have been updated to the newer version of IB.BOARD as well, and work MUCH better than they used to and are far snappier and responsive than the beth forums.

Here's the solution: Stop using an outdated browser

It looks like 'go to last post of the thread' button on Oblivion mods forum isn't working.

I just tested it out and it works for me. Is it just unresponsive?

If I open a forum page in a tab, i.e. using the middle mouse button, the text is enlarged, it's like I zoomed in the forum. Only happens if I open it in a tab, otherwise the text is fine.

I really miss the automatic opening in a new tab for when you click on external links. *sigh*

Also, I mentioned this in another thread, but the message part of a PM gets squashed to the right 2/5ths of my monitor. Ugh, I am so sick of all the wasted dead space!

And, yeah, lots of 500 and 400 or whatever errors going on.

And I miss the red locks, too.

Maybe http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1081584-forum-update-discussion/page__view__findpost__p__15761603 will help. Or you could just middle click.

:P Maybe you could have two types. The gold can be for good old post limits or locked by request, and the red can be for threads that break the rules (stigma!).

EDIT: Yay, the birthdays are back up on the main page!

Not sure if this has been reported already, but gravatar support has 2 problems:

1. It seems to have been broken today or yesterday (my avatar used to work, but no longer shows up).
2. It does not hash the email address. This gives out my email to anyone who cares to right click on my avatar and see its URL.
