BUG - Settlement Breaking

Bug that is destroying sanctuary: REALLY annoying and makes any effort I put into the settlement pointless.

Level when it appeared: 16

Mods: None

When I fast travel to another settlement (or walk) and check my settlements in my pip-boy Sanctuary reverts to a non-built settlement when it comes to water, beds, and defense.

Currently in pip-boy I see Sanctuary as having:

People: 8

Water: 0

Power: 0

Defense: 0

Beds: 4

with symbols of trouble beside water, defense, and beds

If I return to Sanctuary I see its true built-up settings (Either in pip-boy or in construction station):

People: 9

Food: 16

Water: 19

Power: 11

Defense: 40

Beds: 15

No raider attack or anything....

How is it destroying your settlement? Its like you get account information with wrong numbers, your money is still there. After you check on your settlement, the wrong pipboy info disappaers. Its a harmless bug wich happend to me too.

I have a similar bug where my water and beds go down to 0 when I'm far from the settlement. It is definetly not just showing wrong information, because the happiness goes down a lot and when I'm back people complain about the "bed situation". As soon as I go back all stats are back up to what they should be and happiness goes up again.

The bug is settlement breaking as when out in the field the values drop to zero - people leave the settlement and happiness drops. I come back and happiness starts to rise and I get new settlers - but only when present.

I'm going to try to document this better and put it on the bug list. I think this may be why my Sanctuary Hills is not getting any new settlers after the first "generic" settler - when I leave, all the resources I built up are disappearing.

I got the one extra settler and then several days later, no more. And yes, the transmitter is transmitting.
