Bug with adoption

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 1:51 am

I built a house in The Pale (Dawnstar), and went to the adoption place in Riften. I told the NPC that yhe children will live in my house in The Pale (I built everything neede) and chose 2 childeren. But, after I tell tham that I'll adopt tham, they say that they'll pick their stuff snd come to my house, but the just stay there and not leaving, no metter what I try to do.

Help anyone?

Have you tried traveling away from Riften? As far as I know, as long as you stay there, your new children will not leave - a lot of stuff in Skyrim happens (or doesn't happen, as the case may be!) in this way - try travelling somewhere else, then head to your home in a couple of in-game days time to see if they've turned up.

A watched pot never boils (as the saying goes), and I think it might be the same for child-relocation in Skyrim. They should turn up at your house if you go elsewhere for a while.

they are not like followers returning home or your spouse walking to a new home you told her/him to move to.

Simply map (fast travel) or slow travel. Go inside and they will greet you there. I know mine did.

That happened with Lucia in Whiterun, She didn't go anywhere, but by the time I traveled home she was there.

Of greater concern is the fact that in Skyrim two vampires, unmarried, can adopt two children almost no questions asked...? I'm starting my own feeding farm, folks... only 50 gold a bite.

About my problem - my "daughter" made it to my house but she still says only "I need to get my things and say goodbye to everyone" and she doesnt start talking to me.
