When Raiders are inside the vault, they run into one room but attack peoples in another room and i can't kill them

I can confirm this has happened to me. For me it happened when I moved people to the vault room just as the raiders broke through. Perhaps their advancement made them move to one room while their actual position was blocked in the vault room?
