Hi everybody.
I have got a problem during the quest "First Lessons" in the College of winterhold. Tolfdir should cast a fireball against me and I should block it with the spell Ward, but He does not. He just stays looking at me while I stay on the point indicated by the arrow casting that spell... I have already tried to reload and make sure it is the only quest selected on the menu.
Is it a bug that is gonna be solved with the next patch? Anybody got the same issue?

I'm having the same issue. Can't find a fix anywhere.

Stand on the arrow, press select and wait 1 hour, he should then either tell you to get in position or put up your spell. If he says to move then move and don't put up the spell until he tells you to. If you put up the ward too soon he gets bored with your proactive attitude and decides to teach you a lesson in patience.

i had the same issue but it says i cant wait there (where the arrow is)

Either talk to him again and then go back and stand on where the arrow is or load back a previous save before you entered inside.

Are you activating the ward? (Hold down the equipped hand)
I found he reacted to that and launched the spell.

Mine was the same at first - I walked around a bit spoke to a few different people and then it worked after a few mins.

ive sorted the so called bug on my pc.
i went back to tolfdir,he was standing at a window saying things and i noticed a red dot on the bar at the top of the screen,i killed the apprentices with him,ran outside and there was a dragon.killed the dragon,went back to Tolfdir and he aked me to pay 250 gold for my accident (cant remember what he called it) in killing the apprentices and that sorted that,i can now continue the quest.weird ?
