If you'll read through the achievements, and notice the Roadkill achievement, which requires you to "crush five enemies with the Buggy." As for the VTOL, if you scroll all the way down you'll notice the Aerial Support achievement, which requires you to "Kill 10 enemies using the mounted weapon on the VTOL (Public Match only)." It may just be a crashed VTOL with a turret on it, but if you take the name of this achievement into consideration...it seems likely that you will be able to fire from a VTOL in the air. I wonder if this is a killstreak, because it doesn't seem like an aerial vehicle would fit into the sandbox that we've seen thusfar.

In the Hunter Edition trailer you can see a VTOL floating in the background at some point. It would be awesome if you could pilot it.
