Bugs are really wasting my time

Let me start off by saying FNV is a great game. Massive amount of content, great story, and tons of options. That being said, the bugs in the game have already wasted no less than 10hrs of my time. It started with the BOS quest line where I tried to side with Hardin and ended up locking up the story line even after waiting almost 30 days while side questing and finishing the whole Boomers line and NCR stuff. I had to go back to a save that luckily I had not overwritten. Now I am in New Vegas for the first time and for some reason Victor is bugged and I get attacked when I enter into the Lucky 38. Victor actually changes faces to a police officer as we are moving to the Lucky 38 and we walk right by his corpse on the steps to the Lucky 38. I wasted 20min just fighting my way up to Mr. House just to realize I was caught in another bug. I am not wearing any faction armor and have Raul and EDE as my companions. I have read other posts about this Victor issue and I am just wondering how far back I am going to have to go to fix this issue. I am to the point where I save my game after just about every thing I do, not for the sake of dying, but for the ability to go back to where the game got bugged and lose as little real time as possible un-doing whatever caused the bug.

I doubt the devs have the time to read all of these posts, but if nothing else, it may encourage others to very very frequently save their game to avoid wasting as much time as I did. As far as the BOS quest line goes, just side with McNamara and avoid the whole Hardin thing and you should have no issues. I hope this at least helps someone. If anyone has an idea how to fix this Victor issue I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

Just poured through the boards and seems i found my answer to the Victor issue. Someone posted that if you went to vault 11 and killed all the robots in the martyr room you failed the mr. house quest. The game can still be completed using Mr. YES man but this is a pretty major bug. No clue why killing robots that attack you ruins the main story line.

I actually did this, but reloaded right before the robots popped out of the walls and it did NOT fail "The House Always Wins." I usually save often as I know these games can get buggy. I just wish I could remember where I saved before completing both BoS quest lines.

This is a pretty annoying bug. I've managed to fix it by setting Lucky38Faction as ally (setally 1267AB 0001B2A4) from the console, but there is another problem: Mr. House refuses to talk, no matter what you do. I also tried using GECK to find a solution, but the results were same as before. So yeah, I'm stuck.
