So I Have Entered Vegas And Have been walking around a bit. I left to do some questing and when i come back i decide to enter the Lucky 38. When i look at the damn thing my entire system freezes up not allowing me to access the XMB or anything. this is a major pain as my autosave starts me looking at the Lucky 38. my PS3 is well kept, dusted, and stuff. i have tried everything i can think of to fix this and nothing works.

how do i get the for aud lang syne mission to start ive spent 3 hours trying to get that [censored] do start the mission and he just goes " oh im boring blah blah freeside junky" did the game glitch or am i missing something. ive taken him to all the places he needs to go. silver rush, repcomm etc. whats the friggin problem?

Game froze in 2 places for me so far.

1: At Primm, reeled in a frenzied ghoul over to the NCR guards. Ghoul killed guard, I killed ghoul. When I tried to loot the NCR fella, he had 1 100% NCR armor and 2x 20% NCR armor. Picked them up but when I tried to repair the 2x 20% armor, game froze.

2. At Nipton, spoke to the Caesar fella, then shot 1 of his guys and ran. Was wearing Powder Ganger armor. Changed to non-faction armor after that. Later at Nipton, came across a Legionary Assassin. Not aggresive. Approached him, he turned to him as if to speak, then game froze.

**POSSIBLE SPOILERS**

Anyone else having problems starting the quest "I Could Make You Care"? I've looked all over the internet for a possible solution or even a similar case, but I can't seem to find one. My case is that when I go to any of the locations where Veronica is supposed to comment on the Brotherhood, she doesn't say anything. I'm positive I have the locations right because I'm using the Collector's Edition guide, and I've also successfully completed this quest on a previous file, but it just isn't working now. I also found that she doesn't react when I give her the White Glove Society Attire anymore, and therefore I don't get the Scribe Counter perk. I've tried taking her to all locations, firing and re-hiring her, deleting and reinstalling game utility data (with and w/o the 1.01 patch), starting a 2nd new file and re-attempting.....and nothing has worked. Really hoping for a solution, or for Bethesda/Obsidian to fix this bug if I can't fix it.

I've also noticed (not sure if it applies or means anything) that when I go to a location where she is supposed to comment, when she catches up to me she turns to face ED-E. Is the game glitching and trying to make her initiate the dialogue with ED-E? I would really appreciate any help if anyone can help me. If not, I really hope Bethesda and/or Obsidian fixes the comanion bugs.....

well i finaly got my rep up with the
NCR at their main base and i talked to the girl on the top floor about the leigon prisoner and she let me in to try to deal with him.
i saved once i was in there ( i had over 160 saves & couldent save anymore no i kept saveing over the last one) and when she was gone talking i hit the prisoner once and my game froze, i restarted my ps3 and somehow i got all my weapons back, i talked to the guy, beat him sencless untill he told me everything & the girl wont come back & unlock the door so i can get out... my character is lvl 30 and my last save with him is in vault 11 level 24

A lot of random hitching while wandering around in any given area, not specific to one area. Frame rate dropping to a range of 5-10 frames a second when either certain scripted events are triggered (such as McCarran getting the snipers to help you with a Fiend bounty), or any area where a lot of NPCs are displayed on screen at once. Honestly the frame rate problems are my biggest issue, they're making it very difficult to play the game when I only have 10 frames a second to work with.

Other issues include companions falling through the floor (and then the world) at no specific location.. seems random, ED-E deleting items from his inventory (mainly apparel, however have lost guns as well), texture/environment pop-in (I have seen mountains appear twenty feet away out of thin air), companions disappearing (?) maybe they are just getting lost following me.. entering a new room/area that has a loading screen brings them back to me, that's really all I can think of as of this post.

This may not be a bug, however killing random people give me a "Quest Failed" message when there was never a quest accepted in the first place.

K, here's one for you all I got a 240 gig slim PS3 and 2 profiles on it with NV, my profile I can play for about a couple hours and it starts to crash and lag terribly the other profile my friend plays. he plays for 3 hours straight sometimes and with very few glitches at all and barely any hitching or lag on mine I've had probably got a total of 20 hours with at least 5 crashes on the other one probably about the same except he has had no crashes the only difference is that the profile with no crashes is normal difficulty without hard core mode and I play on Hard with hardcoe mode. WTF? Does hardcoe mode make the game lag more?

Had the same problem. I waited for 5 minutes, and it fixed itself. Don't ask how, becuase I can't answer that.

I just left Lucky 38 had Rex and Cass with me when i entered but left them outsidelike i always have to (dispite the fact I was told by cowboy robot that they could go to the presidential suite with me) when i got done in the Pres. Suite and talking with Mr. House I Took the elevator to the casino to leave and Cass was waiting in the casino by the front door but Rex is no where to be found. I searched all floors in the 38 and around the strip even went back to the king to see if he was sent back to his start location, no puppy. Now what really svcks is he was carrying all my heavily modded weapons and named weapons (Pew-Pew, the prototype, All American, ect.). I could deal with all the weird little bugs, creatures falling through hills crashes ect. but this is annoying. Are all my companions going to disappear if i go talk to Mr. House? Please Bethesda Please fix this game I've had a lot of fun with it until now.

Here's what triggered hard crashes for me so far:

- When Knight (Mojave Post) was about to repair my gear
- During G.I. Blues Quest while being escorted by Orris
- When I found a new location by Novac
- When a reminder popped up "Your still dressed as a NCR"
- Infinite load screen after loading file
- Sand storm area near El Dorado
- Screen transitioning in BoS bunker

Seems to be many different things that trigger crashing and are unavoidable but I hope this helps a bit. Please, just focus on fixing the freezing in the next patch.

I went back to Primm to get Ed-E since Rex is gone but the game says he's still in my group... so there's that...nice..

I have never had any troubles there. No freezing and no lagging. But I have had some seroius lagg (then it froze) on camp mccarren.

Some of my newer bugs are.

Ed-e im pretty sure died in me in vault 33?,ive done his quest but once you get him back his perk is permanant. ive fooled round killed him before he dies you still have the perk. hes died naturaly now and i still have it after fast traveling and sleeping,altho i cant confirm hes dead this time i never got a he died message but hes missing from the vault i was in and the ghouls there nearly killed my human partner in power armor easily.

the perk free radical is supose to double the effect of radaway. my radaway used to be -8/s now it says -26, but when i take it i notice the rads are off i look in the stat screen it still says -8/s instead of 26.

the perk toughness gives +3dt take it a second time and you will get +3dr instead of dt and in your pipboy the dt will flash over to dr of 3 back and forth between your dt. (also med-x gives dr instead of dt is this intended or a mistake as well?)

there was also a mine or a cave cant remember thats on the south eastern part of the map the graphics were completly distorting. had patches of black and random walls if, if i aimed at the floor i could see fine most of the time. there was also great khans in the cave that where netural to me and 2 ncr rangers tied up behind locked cages if anyone else remembes which cave/mine its called.

i fast traveled to scorpion gultch only once so far but when i did i fell from the sky when i landed hard enough to take about 30hp off my char,also north west of there on the other side of the hill heading towards neils shack a scorpion spawned in the clouds and rained down dying instantly as it hit the ground.

It seems that they only fixed the glitches where you could get easy caps and easy XP. None of those were game breaking, so why they have fixed those and not the bugs that freezes the game is weird. But it seems they like pisst-off costumers.

m doing the mission "Guess who i saw today" I have got to the part where Dr Henry is doing the test on Lilly and its bugged. It wont proceed any further. If i try and talk to the Doctor then he simply says "wait till i finish the test" or something to that effect. I have tried waiting for a few days and i have even left him and gone abd done other missions but he simply will not move forward with the mission.

I hhave read on other forums that many others have the same problem and they are using the GECK to fix it. However i am on a PS3 and therefor cannot use this.

Its very frustrating because i need Dr Henry to do quest "for old lang syne" and i really want to see what the enclave are going to be like.

Please let me know how you plan on fixing this bug because i looooooove fallout and its just such a shame that an otherwise perfect game is let down by such a small problem

ok first of all i love the game but this has happened to me three times already and its getting REALLY ANNOYING... first i had veronica and went into casino and when came out was stuck with her power fist that i couldn't pick back up. so then i ditched her and went with boone and the same thing happened to him except this time the gun was nowhere to be found (it wasn't in my inventory or boone's) so i also ditched him... not too happy about. but then i get raul and this time i made sure to make him wait outside casino, and that i saved before i went in and everything. but while in the sunset sasparilla HQ i notice hes fightin with his fists!!!! i even loaded back my latest save and he didn't have it there either!!! so now ive just lost use of three companions.... and i really don't wanna have to find a new one since i just got the valquero outfit for raul

I've had the gun fire problem myself and the only way I managed to fix that was to open my Pip Boy as soon as my game loaded and remove my equipped weapon. Sure my fists would punch by themselves for a little bit, but eventually switching to another weapon worked...most of the time.

Aside from this I've seen the following glitches

1) Plants falling into the ground in a continual loop.
2) Plants and enemies flashing green after death
3) Companions flashing green after death
4) Floating rocks/rocks just above the ground so you can see inside them
5) Sound cues; sometimes people just move their lips with no sound, sometimes my guns make no sound, and my Pip Boy too...


All I know is that the patch they just released made the game 100% worse. I do so love my game freezing ever 10 minutes of gameplay.

Junk ending up in my inventory that I didn't pick up. I notice it when I fast travel and my character is encumbered. The freezing issue is most likely an area loading bug, but they wont fix it and blame the problem on the hardware. If it's cache related they need to add a script that clears it when loading a save. I only had Fallout 3 freeze a few times on me, but it eventually stopped and never froze again. I even downloaded all the DLC and never had any problems so Bethesda must have butchered the GOTY version.

Yea, my Fo3 was similar to this I only froze up a couple times but it eventually would resume play I only had to hard reboot 1 or 2 times with the dlc installed even I'm hoping they do what they did to Fo3 to NV here soon so I can actually enjoy playing the damn game I figured out by playing a couple hours and re starting I found it "lags" less and I haven't crashed since so I think your right with the whole cache issue i found it also works better (for me at least) to completely turn off auto save.

At the moment I've been staring at my TV for almost an hour hoping that Boyd character walks back into the room but it seems I can restart the entire game.

I was doubting to buy this game since the Fallout3 version had som many many bugs.. that's the reason I still haven't finished that game, you simply can't because it freezes up all the time.
Seems they didn't learn nothing from the past and just wanted to make a quick buck out of this one..

I AM PO'D

I've been in and out of the strip doing missions, but now every time I try to enter the strip the game goes to the loading screen, then goes black and locks up. I've tried to get in several times over the past couple of days to no avail. I've tried deleting my game data (not saved games) and reinstalling it.

I even deleted every other game data file on my PS3, then reinstalling fallout new vegas

NOTHING works. I can't turn in any of my quests in the strip or finish the game because I can't get into the strip.

help please.
