Bugs in skyrim? Don't be ridiculous.

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 5:13 am

I haven't encountered any glitches other then misc quests not going away. I'm on the xbox. I do find it funny people complaining about issues when I have little to none personally, then again, most of them are people who stayed with sony after PSN was hacked and down for over a month, a poor decision after such a farce, I think.

BWAHAHHAHAHA!!

Well.. xbox? Maybe because that was the only platform bethesda trully considered which will explain any increase in stability you get. I am seeing missing textures and crashes less often though and spastic dragons havent been seen since 1.3

1. Bugs are across all platforms if it doesn't happen to you particularly doesn't mean it does not exist.

2. PSN is actually more secure then Xbox live has been for months but MS keeps quite about such so they don't get bad publicity.

You find it ridiculous that other people encounter issues because you've encountered none? Could you explain your logic? I'm sorry my game's so buggy - I'd prefer it not to be. Maybe we should switch games/consoles. If the game has no bugs that shouldn't be an issue.

I'm sure there are some serious bugs, it just seems strange that not everyone is experiencing the same thing.

No bugs? i take it you haven't tried using the Bookshelves or magic resistance in 1.2?

There are tons of bugs in Skyrim, thankfully none have been game breaking for most of us.

A few days ago, one of the [censored] in another thread said we shouldn't demand anything - like a smooth running game, etc., and stop complaining.

Unbelievable.

No glitches on the Xbox? I have encountered tons including one where I can't go to Markarth without killing every guard.

Your either lying or very lucky.

Oh I never had any problems either besides my face disappearing when I have my arch mage robes and certain dragon priest mask on, arrows and ice spikes that don't disappear, game freezing quite frequently due to my habit of creating to many characters, and many others I've encountered in my 184 hour game time with Skyrim. You just got lucky while some of us didn't or you're just lying like someone else said.

... Why are people forgetting that the latest patch REMOVES ALL RESISTANCES?!! THAT'S A BUG!!! A HUGE FRIKKING BUG!! WTF?!! X(

Lydia can't be married. That's a bug. Granted you may, or may not give a damn, but that's not the point!

Quests bug out. I've got several.

The word of power near Miredia's shrine won't pop up for me, so I can't complete that quest.

For a while I couldn't access a vital seat in the main quest line.

Oh, the weapon rack in my Whiterun home? Won't work.

Mannequins are turning invisible instead of displaying armor properly.

Forsworn armor doesn't show up properly on my Breton most of the time. That was even before the latest patch.

Oh, yeah, the dragon with the screwy flight pattern never landing even with Dragonrend on it!? How is THAT not a bug?!

My game is locking up for no good reason, with no warning.

Don't worry, if none of this has happened to you, it will, unless the next patch intercepts these problems, or you didn't get the patch to begin with. I used to be able to play without problems, but then my Skyrim took a patch to the knee.

Don't tell me all of this is PS3 exclusive. <.<

/end vent

*points out that Lydia can't be married, the mannequins don't display properly, and there's a chance that weapon racks won't work, and forsworn armor doesn't always show up properly... all pre-latest patch.* <.<
If there were no bugs, there'd be no patch.

I had that problem on a death lord once. I thought it might be the location he died at so I tried to shout him off the cliff he was on. When that didnt work I saved the game, exited to the main menu and loaded my saved game. It let me loot him then

This.

I play on the 360. I frequently experience game freezes and there are other miscellaneous bugs I notice. None of them have been game-breaking yet, thank goodness.

I haven't downloaded them either, but still have witnessed many bugs: Elemental Fury sound effect never ending; Quick Reflexes slow-down lasting for a minute or two; incorrect read-outs on the damage tooltip in the menu; enemies dying, their corpse turning rigidly prostrate, and being incapable of looting them when this happens; arrows randomly being devoured in travel by vast nothingness... and that's only what I can remember without much muse.

Sorry, but if you honestly believe that people are "being ridiculous" when they bring forth an issue because you've never witnessed one yourself, you're either too young to have developed empathy or you're a [censored] moron.

Thanks for getting back with me. Yes, I tried moving them around, pause, go to map, all kinds of different combinations. It happens to me like probably 75% of the time. Gets annoying, but oh well, right? Thanks for the tip though.. Ill give that one a try....Cya later :)

From the first few threads I have read, I see some people saying that, if im reading this correctly, that the XBOX doesnt have any issues with quests and glitching ... well, as a player on the XBOX I can trully say ... thats a load of crap, I now have crap in my inventory for 4 or 5 quests that while I have the items needed, it still wont let me complete the quest, update, or put stuff away. I have to add to my stamina and enchant fortify carry gear just to keep up with the crap I cant put down .... either fix the quests, which if you get down to it .. really does kinda bend me that a stand alone console game should have this many problems with it, or stop makeing us keep quest [censored] in our inventory. Let us put it away, if we foget to pick it back up when we go to turn the quest in, then its our own damn fault. Makeing us keep it on us is idiotic IMO. While im on a soap box here, one more thing that I think needs attention ... going into your pause/inventory menu ... as soon as you hit the B button to make a selection, it will at times auto update, when fast travelling, going into or out of buildingd or towns, thats a great idea ... but not damn near every time I want to look at my inventory. Just my opinions and ideas ... I now turn the floor over to the people who will mysteriously feel the urge to flame these ideas, and inform me as to how stupid and wrong it is of me to have an opinion ... and to those troopers who have nothing better to do than troll and flame other people for useing a forum board to speak their piece... get a life guys.

PSN getting hacked is irrelevant when it comes to Skyrim bugs. Fail.
