Not sure if anyone is interested but I thought I'd give it a go, to give folks something besides bugs and complaints to talk about. Here are the rules:

1. Each person contributes a sentence to the story (just one sentence at a time ... two if the previous sentence is an awkward bridge)

2. You should not post back to back sentences (you can post as many as you want as long as they are not back to back)

3. The topics should stay in the Fallout Universe and preferably related to the vaults or exploration (since those are the features of FOS)

4. Keep it reasonably clean so we don't violate any forum rules

5. No complaints about grammar or spelling since English isn't always everyone's first language ... just contribute your sentence

I think those rules should be sufficient to make this reasonably fun (hopefully). Here is the starting sentence:

The Overseer had been staring at his monitors for over an hour when he suddenly noticed something happening in Super Reactor #5 ...

Power was dropping and the coms were only uttering a sound best described by holding a molerat under water.

Throwing on his Officer's Fatigues and grabbing his Enhanced Rail Gun he hurried to the Elevator

As he excited the elevator he ran right into Bittercup blazing away with her Mean Green Monster at a hoard of scrambling molerats

He saw that Bittercup had things under control so he knocked off a couple of Molerats while he thought, "War ... War never changes", when he suddenly noticed something else ...

The eyes of a small figure, barely a meter tall, seemed to water up as they gazed upon the Overseer from the half lit corner in the hallway.

It was little Sarah ThreeDog and the Overseer was sorry she had to see such violence, but this was life in the vaults he thought, as he headed down the hall to check on the Greenhouse

The smell of fresh produce and flowers greeted him as he walked in the room, reminding him of how life outside the vault once would have been, but little did he know what was lurking in the high vegetation..

He peered at the vegetation and listened to a strange mewling sound, as he lifted one of the leaves it revealed a baby Deathclaw ...

Hi first instinct was to reach for his gun and kill the strange critter, but then he saw a strange intelligence in the Deathclaw's eyes.

It was very scared and seemed pale, so he threw a robe in its direction and mumbled "Never a dull day.. we'll name you Goris then"

Goris snuggled into the robe, when the power completely failed, plunging the vault into complete darkness.

It was at this moment that the Overseer thought, "I wonder where the mother is" just before he heard a rushing sound

"DO YOU NEED A HAND?" came from the darkness in a voice resembling death himself

The overseer froze and after a brief moment, he felt a large hand on his shoulder.

turning to see Star Paladin Cross he blurted, "Could you stop playing with your voice modulator in the Power Suit ... you haven't seen a Deathclaw around here have you"

(LOLOLOL good one Kbrickley!!)

Cross huffed and it sounded like a ghostly moaning sound, "I think we have bigger issues than a Deathclaw," he said and pointed at the emergency lights that just came on and barely illuminated the Greenhouse.

"Damn" thought the Overseer, "What NOW?" as he started to tap instructions on his PipBoy to identify the new issue ... he was about to enter the command when suddenly
