Build a synth of your spouse, take them to fight Kellogg and sit back and watch as he/she blows his head off.

Return to settlement, build synth and give him Kelloggs clothes and gun and use him as a companion.

I would love to build a synth! I'd make it after Elder Maxson...which isn't that cool--but it's so cool at the same time.

As for upgrades....eh, I dunno. :/

Obviously everyone would want to be able to build synths, except people who give more importance to lore than to gameplay.

are you saying synths go against lore at what point dose something become lore as fallout is a story thats has to change to keep going
