building: survivor 2299

Post » Mon Dec 09, 2013 4:56 am

so when i checked "the survivor 2299" site and saw it was a fake, i was not upset...i was more impressed that someone when through the time to make the site, find some small links from game to game, but i was very impressed about the story that this person had created. i was so impressed that i decided that it was such a great story. i had to bring it to life... soo though the GECK system, i will be starting to create the world the we all saw coming from the "survivor 2299" site. it will be no small undertaking but with some help from the fellow creators of the fallout fans, i know we can do it,

i intend to not just make a mod with a few new quest lines and sides, a few weapons and NPCs, i mean a completely new game the only thing that will be the same is the engine . i mean to create a mod for fallout that will be at the level of any AAA game coming out today.

i will need some help with this task, anyone wanting to help i will need, voice actors at any level (you would be surprised at what i could work with), some people who are good at creating 3D models for weapons and creatures, animators able to work with said models with minimal clipping issues. people that are good with the indoors area. i have an idea of the way Boston would look, from the info from the site. anyone willing to do so post on this thread, i will check often.

if to have none of the skills i am looking for spread the word get as many people as possible to come to this thread. i hope to bring a great mod to the table.

lastly i can not pay anyone, but i personally am not doing this for money, i am doing this to make an incredibly awesome mod for everyone who loves the fallout series.

AND to hold us over until the next fallout game. anyone has any ideas post them here. just put "suggestion" in the top of the post in a bigger font size and in bold (for anything)

thanks for reading!

I think this might belong in the mods section. Anyways, I do hope you have some modding experience, because you are suggesting to build what is probably the largest mod for a Fallout game.

Agreed!

To the original poster: And working on very large project myself as a teammember you can expect that it will take years. Voice actor are your absolut least problems at the moment.

For me, as a single modder, I spent about 1 month just making a single "dungeon" on the size and level of quality of Bethesda. Ludicrous amount of tweakng after the rough design is completed (ofc, I also had to learn to use the GECK in the process, but still). Now add questing, scripts, voice-overs, etc etc. And repeat that for about 10+ areas to create a medium-sized DLC.

Good Luck
