Building your own settlement discussion...

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 4:28 am

I can't express how excited I am for this feature. But one thing I did not fully understand was if you get to build houses for other npcs? Like how do you establish your own house from other npcs so they don't go living in your house? Anyways looks amazing.

My pre-planned ideal is the Republic of Dave. That setup was sweet.

This is the only thing I didn't like much tbh, but I'm glad its fully optional. (Not into city building).

I was actually expecting something similar to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Hearthfire DLC for Fallout 4.

I'm happy it's free in Fallout 4 this time instead of a $4.99 dollars (USD) DLC.

I really don't know how to express my excitement. Every thing they showed is exactly what I hoped would be in the game in some form or another. now only to wait and see how it holds up to those promises. Concerning the building aspects though, it did seem a bit awkward how stuff instantly is scrapped and or built. I wonder if that was just some sort of god mod for demonstration

It should be interesting, but tbh I don't see the point without some form of co-op.

Sounds interesting, like a modified heart fire from skyrim. Looked good.

It is one of the best things they introduced in the fallout 4 reveal... and there was a lot of good things.

Seems like the wasteland defense mod enhanced!

One thing I caught Todd say was that the vendors in your settlement will have the best stuff. Not sure how big I would build, or how much. This strikes me as something you might expand on after completing the MQ.

Anyone can remember, that's something I've been requesting for a long time. So, I loved.

So many mods being brought into the fold for Fallout 4. Real time Settler and the vertibird sequence reminded me of the Enclave Commander mod. Sweet jesus.

This will probably be how I spend a great deal of my time in the game I think. the implications and possiblities for options of gameplay depending on my mood. really good for RP too.

A feature I wanted so badly in 3 and NV, you don't even know. In 3, I adopted Big Town (got the robot defenders, went to every random location to get the merchants that go there, etc). Now I can legit make my own town(s). I'm STOKED!

Wonder if you can rebuild your house back to its pre-war status.

I feel like they really looked at some of the most popular mods for ideas to put into this game, like more houses (or in this case, creating them!) and put them in this game.

My hope is that it isn't just in one spot out in the Wasteland somewhere and that you can actually do this in a bunch of places, if not everywhere. At the least, in major cities where you can buy and own plots of land.

The only thing I feel will be necessary to be modded in are auto-sorters and displays. I want a gun wall, a money wall, a gold bar shelf, medical cabinets, etc. Mods be praised!

I get to build a village of GARY! or Tunnel Snakes Rule or whatever my imagination comes up with. Basically it's Hearthfire but times by 9000.

The demo mentioned multiple locations with the ability to run brahmin convoys and power to them.

I can see this being a major distraction from the main quests for me, must say im stoked.

Fairly sure they mentioned a few different locations were available
