So like the 188 and the Grub and Gulp except with more activity?

I'm beginning to think of a legit doomsday vault, where everything and everything of old world use remains in there, untouched, and in tact. Naturally though, this vault would not only be incredibly hard to get to, but also incredibly hard to get into. It would have schematics and files of vehicles, human medicines and researched cures, the works...

I mean places along the highway that all they are is some bathrooms, a parking lot, and maybe some vending machines.

Or they could just occupy old cliff cities made by native Americans..

This is one of the reasons I want the four corners region in the next fallout game. A whole lot of cliff dweller settlements that have withstood the test of time.
I would also like to see more adobe buildings if we are set in a desert location again.

Sewer settlements. I know a lot of people don’t like the dungeon crawling, and hat's cool, they don’t even need to be large underground labyrinths.. I think there would be a lot of sewers still in tact that would provide good shelter to rebuilding peoples. I can't see people passing something up that is already built and not necessarily easy to spot.
I am thinking along the lines that if you are building a settlement, you are a potential target until that settlement is realized and fortified.

That would be so cool. Having a place completely prewar and unscaved. That would be just cool!

Skyscraqers would make better dungeons than Vaults. They be be quite similar though, what with the different offices and multiple levels. The lighting though would be quite beautiful. Imagine exploring the Sears Tower in the earlier hours of the morning with the suns rays coming in through the broken windows and dilapidated walls. A welcome change when compared with the dark, damp vaults.

Agreed, would love to see skyscraqers instead of dark dungeon vaults. Makes me feel claustrophobic, skyscraqers seem a lot more logical in a post apocalypse.

Why? Most of them would have been obliterated/melted by the nuclear blasts.

Well I would like to see the next Fallout game to be like the following:
Being able to buy a house or being able to find and uses any building you find or clear for your personal uses. Like say you find an empty gas station you can claim it as yours. Say they make a prompt with your Pitboy or a panel on the wall. You say uses building as safe house or something like that. Then the screen reloads and you now have access to a computer and you can say I want a Reloading bench and a crafting table. Both cost 5000 caps together purchase then when you exit you will find out in the garage of the gas station where the burned out vehicle was a Crafting Table and a Reloading table. Say you want 4 crates, weapons racks or ammo cans just enter that stuff in the computer pay X-Amount of caps and you have it.
I would also like to see being able to uses the heave machinery to uses so you can make your own weapons or to be able to smelt down weapons to make new ones. Not the cheesy Fallout three weapons made from different parts but real weapons like 9mm, 10mm, Rifles and such.
Say you want to make a 9mm hand gun. You could make it with 5 toasters or 20 metal dish plates with using the heavy machinery. Scopes need say 10 tin cans and 4 eyeglasses to make one scope.
Also on the subject of safe house, being able to upgrade it to say have electricity with say using electron packs or being able to purchase or make a generator of some type. You could also make or purchase lighting installing a ham radio or whatever they are called. Never understood the ham radios in the game they are useless. Why not make them have some uses like say hello on them to get a response at said cords so you could check it out.
Would like to get rid of fast travel and possible have a vehicle or several different vehicle you could uses. Say like a motorcycle or dune buggy.
Would like to see Skyrim type graphics with different type of characters and being able to make your background story from different options. Like born in X town, Vault or unknown. Was a raider or scavenger to whatever?
Would like to have better script writing in this type of game with better quests and no markers showing where you have to go its called clues. Like need to find X-Item you talk with X-Person who told you about X-Item. Well I heard it out X near some old X riverbed. You go out to find it instead of just there is the marker.
When down in the sewers come on people there is not lighting down there it should be darker then ****. Would like you to have a flashlight or something like it and be roaming around kind of like in Dead Space.
More flexibility of character bodies. Then just one body. Like in Skyrim when you’re making your character. Scars, markings, body type.
Last but not least Clothing. Being able to make your own or at least dying it to a color you want, markings and such. Like taking NCR body armor and turning it to Black or Green. Leather armor making Black, Brown or clown colors. Something to make you stand out instead of just same old ****.

Yes and no it could also go off your reapair rate too. Less the repair rate the more items you need of said item you would need to make 1 weapon.

And more realistic weapon ballistics and damage.
Shooting someone or Animal with a well placed rifle shot at long distance to the head=DEAD
Shooting someone or Animal with a well placed pistol shot at short distance to the head=DEAD.
Leather armor possibly help against bladed weapons and shrapnel from an explosive at med distance, but will not stop any bullets.
Metal Armor better protection from bladed weapons and explosions near you, but will not stop a bullet.
Legion Armor=Football padding is not bullet proof
NCR battle Armor=possibly bullet proof with pistols, but not with high power rifles.
Brotherhood of Steel Power Armor possibly bullet proof and possible high power rifle proof at far distance, but not up close or 50cal proof.
Someone wearing clothing to any weapon=Swiss cheese.
I should not need to uses armor piercing bullets for anyone except Robots or Brotherhood of steal if I am not using a 50 Cal. Plus a 50Cal can penetrate wood, brick or concrete. So if X enemy is hiding behind a concrete slap or a side of a wooden building and I shoot at that spot my 50 cal should go right threw it and still kill the target behind it

There is no reason to visit it. Fallout needs to stay with America, unless it goes into space(aliens) or maybe the moon(MOONBASES [censored]S). Possibly limited ventures into Canada and Mexico, but never have the focus there.

Yes, this is exactly how I felt with the homes system. It seems so simple, yet it was just never able to be done in other Fallout games. I pray to god that this feature is in the next Fallout. But this is really more of a suggestion then it is a building you want to see. A moderator may get mad at you if they see this.
