BuildingsStructures you want to see in the next Fallout game

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 2:43 pm

I want to see a large underground city that isn't a vault. Bustling with residents and a market filled with characters you would never forget.

Large and open, would feel like your outside in the wasteland but you're underground. That is something I would like to see explored.

Also, I want to see moar people everywhere, if I happen to kill them or what have you please make them respawn.

People are like rabbits, where they survive they will multiply like roaches I always say.

My games are feeling quite empty after what I've done to some of the people. lololol

it takes years for people to procreate :P
where do these respawning people come from? if you kill someone then it makes sense for it to be empty. It's not like there are tons of people around to repopulate the area out of nowhere for no specific reason.

Well it can be just like IRL… Where I just didn't notice them. Or they came from somewhere else.

Point is, they have no names and are just what they are…. NPC's, extras in a World where they don't really matter.

Just like people you see everyday, people that all dress and act alike. They have nothing to offer the World and/or community.

I call these stupid people NPC's. NPC's everywhere.

that doesn't make sense in the post apocalyptic world that is Fallout. There are only a limited amount of people around. It might make sense to a small degree in certain places, but in general it doesn't

That's what I meant, in certain places yes. I didn't mean the entire wasteland to be filled with NPC's.

Just want a city to feel like a city is all.

I,d like beth to put realistic unique buildings and skyscraqers that have debris falling down onto the sidewalks( if it were in the NYC of course), but im not sure if it should be in NY because if there were an actual nuclear apocalypse NY would have been leveled 5 times over, there would be no more new york because its such a huge target, but whatever its a game they can do and say whatever they want.

While NYC would have been obliterated, I have come up with a couple of reasons as to why it could survive a) NYC is a secondary target, so... :/ B) Since it's a secondary target, I feel like China may have sent bombers (evidence by the nuke in Megaton) and the ones targeting downtown could have been shot down c) If an ICBM was deployed, the Warhead malfunctioned and didn't detonate, not destroying downtown, but letting uptown and, maybe, half of Central park become destroyed letting a Ghoul/Mutant faction

Fallout New York would be really tight, there are so many landmark buildings there just take your pick, an aced up Statue of Liberty would be just swanky to see.
I wouldnt mind seeing a Fallout in a heavily wooded forrest or mountians where there are lots of animals that have mutated,
maybe some mutated hillbillys like in Point Lookout. Not many landmarks on that rout I know, but a forrest that looked like Chernobyl after the meltdown would be steller...

yeah it does take awhile for humans to repopulate, but it can take less than a year to civilize. which greatly increases their chances of survival

I really don't know of any building specifics I would want but,

I would like to see a casino, a Nuka-Cola Factory, a Sunset Sasperila Factory, and a couple of detailed notable landmarks; where ever the next fallout location may be.

Man you hit the nail on the head with that post. I too would like to see a Fallout NYC. I think that would have some interesting add-ons

I said it first :sadvaultboy:

And try my story (link in sig) if you like the idea of Fallout being in NYC

(Yay! Shameless self promotion)

And there's the New York state forest, also, if Fallout 4 took place in NYC, then it should take the title of Fallout: Empire, because New York is the Empire State. Also, since the game may spread into New Jersey, a viable DLC could take a turn towards another Injun/Natives setting, set in a forest in New Jersey called the Watchung. Also, I think boats could be a cool mode of transport in FO4 if it were set in a coastal city, take New York for instance, a good "doorway" into New York could be a boat able to transport you across the Hudson, and to Liverty Island and Ellis Island
