Bullet time (for cinematic finishers)

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 12:08 am

Well, do you? I think the occasional bullet time (perhaps only activated when we get a finishing move on the final enemy in an encounter) would enable us to really revel in the awesomeness of these brutal finishers.

Yay for polls.

Edit: kept hitting enter instead of clicking to create a new poll option  all fixed now.

Well...its already been confirmed that you can slow down time with a dragon shout. That's about as good as you're gonna get.

I dont know if the special kill animations will be in slow mo--they'll be cool either way.

The term " No way Jose" comes to mind.

It's good to see people are being open minded about this :goodjob:

No thanks. It would just become tedious.
It doesn't add any value to the game for me.

Slow-mo makes everything look sixy, but you overuse it and it becomes a drag watching the same animation over and over.

So yes, but only occasionally.

What's to be open minded about? Either a person wants it, or they don't.

Personally I thin it detracts from the visceral feel of combat.

I removed the slow-mo thing for Fallout Vegas after the 3rd kill. Very tedious and I don't find it cool in the slightest.

Not really sure what bullet time mean. Could anyone explain it?
Edit: Judging from other comments, I think it means slow-motion.

Now... I have two things I would NEVER EVER want to see with finishing attacks:

- I DON'T want to finishing moves to go in slow-motion.

- I DON'T want finishing moves to force you into some kind of third-person view (something like V.A.T.S for instance).

As long as finishing attacks don't have what I stated above, I'm fine.
If not, I'm not buying the game until there is a mod that removes it. I find it that terrible.

Added a toggle option in.

I think it could be pretty awesome for something like head shots with a bow. You could kinda just follow the arrow in slow motion and see exactly where it hit.

It could be cool the first few times, but after that it would be tedious.

I'd like it not just in finishers actaully.

People don't like it probably because it became famous with Matrix which was a modern thing, but I thing slow-mo is plain artistic if not overused...Personal opinion.

I don't expect exceptional head shots to be something you do every single time, so I think it would be ok.

I have said it lots of times, and M'aiq can agree with me... Fable it's not something to be taken as a guide...

Ugh, the word immersion is thrown around on these forums too much. How does slashing a dude's throat in slo-mo break "immersion" for you?

I would like it on the last enemy of a fight. Prevents it from getting old quick.

What's to be open minded about? Either a person wants it, or they don't.

They could elaborate on why they don't want it or how it could be implemented in a better fashion than I have described.

Anything more than one word answers, basically. Bane of my life they are.
