Bullets to Kill Thread part deuce

How is it spraying if you are hitting what you are aiming for?

This.
I think people are making a mistake when they talk about spraying when they talk a bout hip fire. Spraying is when you have a weapon with notable recoil/spread and you shoot nonstop to create a mat of bullets, which comes naturally because the said weapon has recoil/spread.
If the weapon on the other hand does not have that much recoil/spread, and certainly if it takes many bullets to kill the enemy, it is not just spraying, because you can not create that aforementioned mat of bullets. It is not spraying.
It requires skill to keep shooting to enemy's head, even if it is "just" hipfire

OR the exact opposite: Run&Gun Spray&Pray style, which is very effective, too.

True in part, but with a well organised defence (camping choke points / objective, outer and inner defence teams etc, all the things your supposed to do on defence) running and gunning as the attacking team on high damage settings is suicide, and slow and paranoid being the way to go. Spray and pray can't be refuted on those settings, with reaction time / positioning generally being far more important than manuevering, aim or controlled fire.
