The first three were epic.
I am already bored and annoyed with Crysis 2, it just isn't engaging at all. And the music? They overpaid Zimmer.
The mouse is sluggish, the enemies hard to see, the suit isn't as good as the original. And I had to edit system.cfg to even get it playable.
The plot and characters lack continuity. The Ceph went from electric lifeforms in exosuits to oversized jellied hominids in armor? 30 seconds of Prophet is the link to the first? What the hell happened to Nomad? This reminds me of the catastrophe that was the 3rd Aliens movie, where only the least likeable character remained in the series since the rest were killed of in the first 30 seconds.
But the real indictment is the missed expectation. I'm not the only one. Metacritic 89???
I've played Bulletstorm's campaign twice now. Great game, great gameplay innovations, plot was epic, humor fantastic.
"A sudden plunge in a sullen swell, 10 fathoms deep on the road to hell". Grayson might as well have been describing this middling console port. It's not a bad game. It's just not exceptional. I will complete it, just to get my money's worth, but I definitely overpaid. I will not be recommending this.
Frankly, I think this is on a par with, and perhaps even worse than, COD BLOPS and MW2.
For that, MW is definitely a better game.
Oh well, here's hoping that Duke and HL2 EP3 save the genre.
