Take heart in the fact that now you made me want to see a crossbreed of a Bully Netch and a Mammoth in skyrim... I mean we don′t know how their DNA works and Skyrim is just around the corner when you are in Morrowind, it could happen

If you go on the gameinformer site for the time lapse video there is a picture at the beginning of the article. The Player Character is standing in front of a dead Bully Netch how it seems. A bear is standing across the netch, eating some fresh flesh

It could also be an 'over-painted' screenshot. Do you think Netches are back and we also will get Netch Leather Armor?

That's a mammoth....

Don't feel too bad, I initially thought it was some kind of giant squid beast emerging from a cave, before I saw a larger screencap.

Plus, you've just realised an awesome fact: Skyrim has mammoths!

Woah, don't feel bad dude, you shouldn't have to feel upset about mistakes like that. Nobody thinks any less of you because of a little mistake like this, we're all friends here. Most people responding are probably just doing so without reading the thread and noticing that the matter has already been cleared up. We all make mistakes, don't let them anchor you down.

I've seen a lot of this, people thinking its a tentacle or whatever... not sure if this is a disturbing trend in our internet culture or just people only spending 5 seconds to look at something... or maybe both!

Personally, I saw a Wooly Mammoth first, but I guess I can see how people might think those are tentacles.

The first time I saw the pic in the Behind the Scenes video, I thought that the tusk might be some sort of tentacle.

I realized it was a mammoth when I paused it to take a closer look though, but I can see how you might make that mistake at first glance.

I guess you're right but I would like to more creatures only indigenous to that planet & less of the earth type animals (like deer, wolves)
