I think he means that you only get into Vegas proper when you're 50% into the game. In other words, it's not like Megaton, the first place you come across. More like Rivet City, or inner DC. (I heard an interview that said you can get there within the first hour if you know what you're doing though)

*Shrug* I think thats a bit of an exaggeration. IIRC, you need 2000 caps to be able to purchase your way into The Strip, so I doubt it'd be a set game completion mark, but more a 'How fast you get your caps' situation. Depending on how good the random loot, and what enemies I meet in Fallout 3, It usually takes maybe 1-2 hours to get 2k caps. Not to bad in my opinion. Then again, it's my game, so I dont really rush to get [censored] done.

Edit- CEO: 30? Try 10 :fallout:

I'm okay with this.

And if all it takes is 2000 caps to get into Vegas, then trust me I'm going to be more than making every bit of that back at the casinos with my Luck:10 professional gambler. :disguise:

Same here. I used Buffout as a strength boost (I'm a big fan of scavving, so I end up picking up alot of crap xD) I OCCASIONALLY used Med-X, but the Jet, Psycho and Mentats were mainly just sold for quick caps.

im guessing your thinking that we can only enter about 50% through..? if so i beleive thats just following the main story, if you know where its at and have the money/skill/pass you can just rush there and get there like 5% through im betting

With all the quests that have been confirmed I would tend to think that's a reference to the main quest percentage done....

If the selling prices are anything like they were in FO3, it shouldn't take THAT long. Scavenging can get you plenty of caps if you know enough merchants to dump your goods at.

be kind-of tricky if the only merchants are Legion, and they hate you for helping NCR out....

It's all good. I'm in no rush to hit the slots.

Nah, I'll jusct convert NCR Dollars and Legion Gold to Bottlecaps. Speaking of economys, I hope it wont be like Fallout 2s, HOLY hell was F2s economy inflated. x___x

Edit: Niamh- I don't care about slots. I care about meeting my F:NV object of obsession. Mr. House.
