Bumper sword! And why we should have it.

Post » Mon Feb 15, 2016 8:39 am

I think a bumper sword should be added even if it's just one unique weapon at the end of a perilous journey it should have 3 variants or weapon mods normal, aluminum, and straight double sided blade so basically an awesome buster sword that looks good with power armor I really believe everyone would love it even if the weapon speed was sow and it weighed 20 pounds (please plese please only like 10 pounds) anyways please support this idea as it would make a lot of melee players very happy to be a Knight with a cool sword in the castle they've built

You may want to post this in the Fallout 4 forum, if that's the game you're talking about.

Not a fan of overly huge swords, personally. I'm not sure if it would work well for Fallout or even TES, in the case of buster swords.

That actually sounds really cool. I forgot about that thing.

Yes! Seeing blade of the east/west in new Vegas was so cool. Post apocalyptic knights are cool.

The power armor would make it look smaller Jackel09

The bumper sword was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. I get the Fallout "scavenging" theme, but COME ON.

Does EVERYTHING need to be made of garbage?? If you have a hammer & tongs, and can make a fire hot enough to melt iron, you can make a REAL sword.

I'd be cool with the bumper sword or Nuka Breaker.

It was made by Supermutants and you expect forged steel. I love the pounded flat bumper look its total mad max glory.

Fallout 4 doesn't have the Bumper Sword? I say Bethesda Game Studios should add it in a patch or a expansion pack.

Why should everything be copied from New Vegas? The Super Mutants of the East Coast are in no way the same as those of the West Coast, why would they make the same weapons?

Because Obsidian is some of the most veteran rpg crafters in the industry and bethesda would do well to take notes.

It is one weapon, and it wouldn't really make sense to have it in both settings. Your reasons are not well argumented.

Even a scavenger who has no weapon to defend herself or himself can make a sharp bladed weapon out of the bumpers of cars for weapons for defense. Now only if you have anvils, blowtorches, grinding wheels, equipment like that to cut, pound and shape, and sharpen to make a sharp bladed weapon for defense.

That's the way it would probably happen in real life in the real world in a apocalyptic world.

Ok, how about there are also cars with bumpers in Boston. They put in a ton of garbage melee weapons, what's your issue you just don't like nice things?

What other items are missing in Fallout 4 that Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas has? Heck even from Fallout to Fallout 2 as well.

Items that make sense though not unique rare types of items.

Nice things? Well i don't like how the bumper sword looks, though this isn't about that. By your logic New Vegas should have had the Auto-Axe from Fallout 3 The Pitt because they need to copy everything from eachother, even though we have only seen that item in use in The Pitt. Yep!

The bumper sword was first present in fallout 3. So really they wouldn't be copying anything from new Vegas, but rather just keeping the east coast super mutants consistent.

I never used them, but they would have made a good weapon for strong.

Yeah it wasn't in f3.

The rebar club was also cool in a dorky impractical sort of way.

I liked the bumper sword, although technically it's more of a polearm since it's a blade on the end of a handle.
