BUNNIES!

Post » Wed Oct 19, 2011 6:57 am

On page 50 of the November issue of Xbox 360 (The Official Xbox magazine) on an orange background is a brief column describing a first hand stint in Skyrim.

The bit that interests me from this description is;
“A rabbit went the same way adding a point to my 'bunnies slaughtered' stat.”

Personally playing as a Khajiit I relish the idea of a bunny hunt ;) and as creatures/enemies re-spawn I doubt you'd be able to permanently damage any food chains (for the foxes, etcetera).
Unless there was a limited number of bunnies, but at the rate they breed I seriously cant see that happening!

Do you think (or know if) this is an actual game stat in Skyrim like 'diseases contracted' was in oblivion? Or do you think it's just the authors particular brand of humour? And would you seek out and destroy the fluffy little guys?!

EDIT: IT IS A REAL STAT!
I've adjusted the poll to match the new info.

What made me think it might be a real stat was the fact bunnies slaughtered was within quotation marks in the magazine.

I hope it's true, but I don't trust those magazine articles to get anything right.

That's what makes me wonder if it was just that particular blokes sense of humour. I'm hoping its real and the way it's named does echo the short sharp to the point style that Oblivions stats where written in.

maybe more of a Fallout-styled "Challenge" than a stat-stat?

I think I will be merciful unless I really need their meat or whatever they drop. Two months ago I tried to nurse an injured rabbit from a hurricane we had but it died from unknown internal injuries. Ironic, having a fierce barbarian character that will fight dragons but try not to hurt bunnies.

I am just waiting for a "Wild Tamriel" perk that turns them into ferocious beasts like in Monty Python, making even Alduin run in fear.
