I think it would be great if the large closed in (separate cell) cities felt alive and busy. It would be awesome if there was a city market kind of area that's crowded with people looking to barter for the latest furs and dragon skins
I always felt the cities and towns in previous games felt dead and boring. There was usually hardly anybody walking around, and even then they really had no purpose but to walk around.

I like the market idea. It makes sense that people need to eat daily and work. I want to see people gambling in dark alleys, drunkards stumbling around in the streets at night, people smoking their pipes at the local park.
I would like to see bust cities. It would add a feel of realism. In real life cities aren't abandoned there lively. Theres people walking around but with a purpose, they go and get groceries, go work, and socialize and drink at the bar. I would greatly appreciate a lively city. Especially if it were all of the major cities it will feel as if you are not alone playing it.
Same. I downloaded a mod for oblivion that added 40 npc's to each city, fully scheduled, and then another mod that added ambient sound in the towns and the immersion was AMAZING. By ambient sound I mean people talking, laughing, drinking, etc.

Ambient sounds and music would be great! It would also be very immersing if at night the cities lit up with lanterns and through windows (until a certain time of course). And then all you see is random guards patrolling and maybe even stopping the few citizens still out to make sure they aren't up to no good. It would also be cool if you could hear wolves howling from outside the city.
i want busy cities but noone named "*city name* citizen" and everyone should have some dialog if they have to sacrifice people for immersion i say do it
I want to see the life in all kinds of town/settlements/cities. Cities should have traveling merchents selling their goods in a bazaar type area with people looking at their stands. Small towns should have men chopping wood, women/men transporting good, people farming, people fetching water from the towns water well and children playing in the streets.
I want certain parts of towns and cities to be busy at certain times of day. I would also like to see guards chasing a criminal once in awhile so I don't feel like my character is the only criminal.
I would like only major cities to be busy and bustling, whereas the smaller towns and settlements are a slower, more relaxed pace. No point in having small towns if they are as busy as the big cities.
I would love to see places like parks, pubs and markets pretty well populated with lots of ambient sounds and pvssyr. It would be nice to see townspeople just standing around in groups chatting with each other on a bunch of different subjects; not just mudcrabs and the like.
Large Cities should be very lively wether the economy is good or not. Average town/cities should be busy same as above Small towns: you should see people trying to make their money by working. There should be some [censored] hole towns though and you see an enlarged amount of beggars and possibly sick, dead people lining the streets

I want all cities/towns/villages/settlements in Skyrim to be open world (not like how TESIV was) and to be very alive and busy. It might kill people's FPS but who cares! 3.0 GHz quad-core processors won't be the norm forever.

I have that mod too
