But what about the manuals for the old games?

I've downloaded and installed both Arena and Daggerfall, but what happened to the manuals? Couldn't they have been included too? When I first tried Arena there is no tutorial and so no way to know what you are doing. Daggerfall is of course at least fitted with a tutorial but I still don' know how magic is supposed to work and I love playing spellswords, battlemages and sorcerors. I also don't know how to sneak which I've always found a key skill for all players. Still the games seem to work fine so good work Bethesda.

I agree about the lack of manuals.

I was wondering to anyone who has one, can you take a picture of the front of a Daggerfall Manual, I want to see what they look like.

Quite a bit of other paraphernalia too. Gee, I miss the days when you got an extensive collection of "goodies" with every computer game (remember the larger box size they used to use back then?). To hell with those quick reference cards. :(

Me too. Practically no one makes things like that anymore. That's part of what made computer games so special.

I also agree, and they had to give you the CD in a seperate CD box which still had the box art on... ah, memories... don't worry tho you're not missing anything by not seeing the Manual, it was mostly useless and in some parts out and out misleading (The Daggerfall one, at least). Now the Daggerfall Chronicles... there's something I curse myself for giving away!

Yeah, I fondly remember feeling like it was Christmas day every time I opened the box of a new computer game. Nowadays you have to pay at least $10 extra on some games to get that same feeling, and even then the extra goodies you get are often nothing compared to what used to come free.
