Do you guys think that there will be possible button combos to perform certain attacks or finishing moves? Especially since Skyrim now has a perk system and there will be more to do as far as finishing off opponents with various styles and weapons. I just think there will be certain buttons to mash in order to perform a certain attack/finishing move. What do you guys think?

This video from Severance Blade of Darkness game such combos is not button mashing and actyally resembles different fencing techniques with various weapons, they are similar to fighting ones (like in Soul Calibur for example) but have differences they are deadlier then simple strikes but require certain skills for input as well you cannon spam them because of fatigue requirements.
All weapons in game have special traits what invoked in form of combo, combo use fatigue and need enough skills to be used, something like this already was introduced in Oblivion but in much less significant way there is skill combos thats invoked during directional power attacks such combos use fatigue and have additional effects like disarm or stagger, why not expand it certainly because spamming power attacks is boring why not make different perks for weapons what require something more then press and hold one button + forward, how about chain some normal strikes and invoke special attack at end what will apply some powerful effect on enemy, since it will require more then buttons and have more fatigue usage it will be limited to tactical use like in fencing instead of constant same button mashing, so great power for skilled persons but with consequences what need to be taken into tactic account.

All combos are use directional keys and attack button just like Skyrim have
All combos require certain experience and right weapon just like weapon perks require skills levels in Skyrim
All combos have special effects like increased damage in compare to the normal attacks chain what use the same amount of fatigue, well thats was in previous TES games also for example in oblivion power attacks have stun or disarm effects
As well certain magical weapons invoke special enchanting at successful combination
Effects are different they are impale slash crush elemental damage poison and health drain, and enemies have different protection versus such effects
And Skyrim also has effects already confirmed thats maces will have armor ignoring damage I think adding to blunt and axes increased damage to armor durability as normal effect of weapon and armor ignoring damage from certain combination is good way, since if perks just add armor ignoring to all strikes thats looks really strange and create question why before maces does not allow such effect but them magically pop up it, invoking such effects from combination of strikes with unique animation is much more logical fit to ultimate mastery from skill,
Thats basic effect of weapons, they invoke on normal directional strike like in Morrowind or Daggerfall for example, or power attacks from Oblivion all strikes from weapon are give damage but certain like impale for daggers will give more damage from forward power attacks then from left and right ones.
Impale can work as increased chance based critical strike or increased damage from critical so good for backstabs and arrows
Crush add additional damage to durability of enemy equipment so weapons with better crushing attacks are good versus armored enemies
Slash attack can have additional speed bonus to strike so with weapon thats uses slashes you do more strikes for one time
All weapons capable for this but have different values for strikes so it possible create spiked mace thats impale damage and armor damage while cheap normal mace will not have large bonus to impale and more relay on armor damage.
Thats advanced effects from weapons, they require more adanced input then just spam power attacks from two buttons, they require more interesting input and can all have different input combination
poisons features better implement as increase of number of usage of poisoned with alchemical poison weapons so they can have longer lasting poisons instead of one strike as well increased of duration o poisoning because skilled assassin know anatomy and can strike with poisoned weapon in places where is poison will work in much deadly way, not actual inbuilt poison of different potency into weapon
Drain is bleeding effect health and fatigue slowly over time
Elemental damage, well better if it will be achieved trough enchanting but thats will be nice to see on combination strike based enchants as new enchanting feature and for certain unique equipment.

Really powerful effects like this ones must have such requirements like more advanced input thats use more buttons then simple power attacks, and use more fatigue thats will protect from constant spam attacks exploits what have oblivion power attacks.
