I am still new in Oblivion Game, i just get elder scroll IV. I am currently in level 5. and i just get a haunted house for 5000. now my question is can i renovate the house i mean change the new furniture or theme and make it bigger and have a servant or guard the house. things like that. can i do that ?

Other houses that are purchased do have up-grades for sale, but no "servants" or "guards". Companions yes.

No to everything. There is a quest associated with the house though, and completing that quest will cause the house to renovate itself. Go sleep in the bedroom on the second floor. The houses in the other cities can have furniture purchased for them, and the Skingrad house has a maid you can hire. The Anvil house, which is what you now have, is tied to a quest, and the house will improve itself upon quest completion.

But before you sleep in Anvil, just be sure to have a silver/enchanted/daedric weapon at hand.
