Why is there a buyable house in diamond city and not a buyable house in Goodneighbor? Goodneighbour would easily be my first choice compared with diamond city.

I wouldn't say no to a back room in the Third Rail...
I've wondered this myself. This seems like a rather logical move to make. These are the two main 'big' settlements in the game, and it would be cool to have houses in both. Personally I'd take Diamond City over Goodneighbor, but they both have their charm. Diamond City has a lot, but Goodneighbor has the Third Rail, and even better, Magnolia.
I'm sure there will be a mod that will address this conundrum...
I've been wondering this also, I've put a lot of effort into my diamond city pad, as it reminded me a lot of my megaton dwellings.
I think they should add a few houses to the game either quest based or buy either way would be cool
I was wondering how many there were in the game. Sure, settlements are fine. I have Starlight Drive-In as my place. No settlers. I also have the house in Diamond City but I haven't done anything with it. I knid of miss the pre-made designs we could choose for our Megaton house. Saves me decorating it myself
More houses would be good. I don't like Goodneighbor, though. I wouldn't buy one there. I don't like seedy, shady places like that (Riften, Bravil, that one, Gomorrah, I forget what Fallout 3 had, if any).
