I'm considering buying it very cheap but don't know if there are enough european servers

I play at all the hours of the day and are alweis at least 10 servers full . In the afternoon number of players online increase quite much. So , no , its not dead.

European servers are usually pretty good, it's the USA servers that are a bit more scarce for players

The mp is almost dead, a lot of cheating clans, less and less players are online. i have troble to find a server in the morning to play on less than 200 player online. my location is europe (the Netherlands)

Mm? who are these cheating clans of which you speak?


Anyway. I'd wait till it's on sale unless you want to play really badly. Or wait till the mod sdk comes out to see if that revitalizes things a bit.

I have NEVER ran into a clan full of cheaters. All this talk about the clans using hacks and blah blah is a ton of crap. Most of the players in the clans are some of the most passionate players the game has. The reason why people say the clans hack is because there is a huge skill disparity between the new players and the people who have played this game almost every day since launch. So yes new player are going to take their licks, but what game isn't that way? If you're a nice person, most of the experienced players will offer you advice too. Then who knows, maybe you'll get good enough to join a clan and see for yourself. This game can be a lot of fun and it has a unique style to it that I haven't experienced in any other title. The graphics alone on PC warrant a purchase just itself as a benchmark. I only need 2 games published from EA in the future, Crysis and Madden. Everything else takes a back seat.

and this game is just as alive as crysis 2 ever was, if not more.

you will always be able to find a server, especially in europe.

even in the us i can find a full server at any time of the day.

Yeah, I'm in the US and I can find a game 24/7.
Most of the "hackers" are running um......skill?
It's fun and I agree with Zito about benchmarking. Get it for that if nothing else. =)
