Hey guys, i'm thinking of buying the Fallout new vegas Ultimate Edition on steam but i already have the vanilla game (without DLCs) that i bought months ago from a store overseas. The version i have is also region-locked, meaning i can't play from where i currently live. Will buying the game on steam lift the region lock and will there be any compatibility issues?

(in case it helps, the store page contains the message "You already own Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition" with a "Play Now" button next to it, even though i don't have any DLCs and clicking it gives me the usual message about the product code being only valid in a specific geographic region) Theres also another button that lets me add item to cart

Fallout: NV is a steamworks game, so it doesn't matter where you buy it (retail or steam store), it still acts the same. Region locks may still apply. Which region did you get your original copy?
